So this morning I had the utmost pleasure of meeting up with Chris a.k.a Daffs
Great guy with a lot of passion for vaping. Lots of ideas being bounced back and forth, discussions on DIY mixing, mech mods, the EFVI petition, drooling over each others' kit and enjoying a brew in the comfort of The Tea Posy, at the back of The Greenhouse Community Shop in Dingwall...
Of course, our discussions of topic turned to the idea of vapemeets and how it seemed there was nothing going on in the Highlands. It was then that we started thinking up ideas on hosting our own Highland meet. Rather than the typical pub or vaping shop setting, we enjoyed the warm vibes of The Tea Posy (which also played host to a Death Metal Tea Party and countless other big and small gigs in the past) so much, we figured it'd set the perfect scene for vapers to all gather, drink tea/coffee eat cake, discuss all things vaping and just generally get the craic! There's even a stage and PA system if anyone fancies a wee sing song!
It must also be noted that The Greenhouse Shop is facing a huge VAT bill as of this moment, which was left by the previous owner. A huge dent in the bill was made with a highly successful fundraising gig, last month, but hosting the meet there would also prove to be an excellent economy boost for a shop that is badly needed on the forever dying High Street.
Daffs and I will be meeting up again in the upcoming weeks to discuss the ideas further, but we'll be looking to do this in the middle or end of April...WATCH THIS SPACE!
