I'm just wondering if anyone else experiences any breathing issues when using Menthol/Koolada or Ethyl Maltol/other sweeteners in their vape mixes?

I've been having some breathing difficulties of late with the Menthol in vape mixes and also any recipes I make with Ethyl Maltol. Is this just a sensitivity issue for me personally or is anyone else experiencing or previously experienced similar issues?

Can anyone recommend some decent recipes/pre-made liquids where I could bypass these ingredients and hopefully improve my vaping experience and respiratory health.

Thanks for reading guys and any responses would be warmly welcomed.

Been using Vapable's menthol for years without issue and I'm asthmatic.

I have used liquids with menthol in th past and must admit I cannot do them for too long. I guess it all depends if there are any underlying symptoms to start with, I had a couple of heart attacks a few years back and it`s safe to say my arteries are clogged a bit even now. I was admitted in to hospital after returning from abroad, oddly enough just a few months before the pandemic broke out. A chest infection that got on to the lungs and also caused the heart to swell up, after the cat scan X-rays and ultrasound scans they gave me, they told me what they had found. They also mentioned about a dark fluid on the lungs. Now whilst I drink water I wonder how much we know of how the PG/VG is absorbed into our bodies? Yeh I guess it does get absorbed but when the majority of it goes straight into the lungs and we are heavy with the vaping at what rate does that absorbtion take place? My guess is it`s a lot slower than we are pumping it in. If you are a heavy vapour and do it indoors then you only have to see the residue it leaves behind on windows etc, ok so it`s not gonna kill us exactly but we do have to think about hammering it. Sorry this does not help you as such but I personally feel it`s something worth considering if anyone has breathing problems.
