Just for shits and giggles really. 0.3 kanthal @ 12 wraps on a drawing needle.
wind 12 wrap micro coil around needle in the usual fashion. place drawing needle in taifun airhole and attach leads to posts ensuring that the coil has a safe distance above the air hole and the coil leads do not cross over any wraps.
Give it a quick pulse to make sure it all glows from inside out with no hotspots
loop cotton through, around and back through the other side so you have a doughnut of cottom surrounding the coil but not engulfing the air hole. This will take a bit of teasing and perhaps removal of little bits of cotton
Prime your wick with eliquid to ensure it is fully soaked for testing
Thar she blows...
Put it all back together carefully and trim the wicks down to where you want them, I always give them a fluff up too which ensures the chamber doesn't flood if the cotton is thin in places.
