Mixing concerns?!

I'm also venturing into the world of mixing but I am a bit confused about nic base and strengths. There are different percentages like 72mg, 54mg, 36mg. Why these amounts and which one do you go for?

Also, what is the difference between Propylene Glycol B.P and Glycerin B.P.?

higher mg nic base = less needed in the final mix to reach desired nic level. so higher nic content can actually be more cost effective, if you can get a good price for the higher mg base.

Propylene glycol BP is just PG, glycerin or glycerol is VG, just different names from different places. USP/EP/BP are just marks to note it is pharma grade liquids.

So, if I bought a nic base in PG would I still need to buy more plain PG with no nic to add to it? Or just use it on it's own?
I'm a bit confused with nicotine being in PG/VG liquids and then adding PG or VG on top...:/
Is the PG/VG base used as a carrier for the nic but too high to use as it is without diluting further with more PG/VG?
Then you add your flavourings?
And then there's sweeteners and stuff...minefield.

Yep you will need pg to add to your mixes to get to the desired pg/vg ratio, using a online calculator makes life easy, if you've got a android phone or tablet, not sure if there's one for the iphone , download the jroberts potv mixing app, its all I use and works great :)

I've just started too. 1 tip I will say is to steep your juice after mixing and make sure it gets plenty of air. Jump over to youtube and search for steeping.

I got the 72mg nic juice as you will use less when mixing.

Check out the downloadable mixing calculator eJuice Me Up. It lets you put in your PG/VG ratio and does very accurate calculations. You can put in if a flavour or nic is PG/VG based so you will get a true PG/VG measurement.

Happy mixing ;)
