What's new

Mixing for beginners

I'm new to the whole e-juice business (had an e-cig with cartridges for a while - it was OK, but little vapour and no flexibility led to loss of interest).

I looked at starter kits, but the only one that offered a selection of flavours didn't seem to offer a good balance of liquids (50ml nic base, 5x10ml flavours & 200ml PG dilutant). There was no VG included to play around with ratios on the dilutant.
All the other starter kits offered only one or two flavours, which I felt made the exercise pretty pointless (granted it's cheaper than pre-mixed, but most of the anticipated fun is in the blending).

Not being one to do anything by halves, last night I ordered over a litre's worth of ingredients, including 19 flavours totalling 340ml, 250ml PG nic & 250ml each of PG & VG. Based on the rate I'm using the pre-mixed bottle I have, it should last me about 2 years (now getting a tad worried about the storage of the flavours).

I'm consoling myself with the fact that, even though I'm still smoking a small amount, even only saving half a packet of fags a day, I'll have made my money back in 27 days! (I was on 15-20 per day, reduced to 5 per day).

I bought through the marketplace on this site, as the flavours were much cheaper than elsewhere, but sadly they had no bottles/syringes, which leaves me stuck having to make a small value order elsewhere and paying more in delivery.

I take the view that the more fun this is, the more likely I am to stick with it - the cost of fags being what they are, it's a hobby that makes me money!

I actually got some syringes on ebay and I also have the luxury of my other half working at a hospital so some things she can get FOC which helps

Yes, I was planning to have a look on ebay - postage should be a bit better, rather than the standard £2-£3 chargable on any quantity in the online stores.

I don't mind waiting a little longer for the bottles, as I can use a standard brown glass 5ml bottle and syringe it into the tank (or whatever it's called - I'm a bit confused with the names of everything).

My main problem is likely to be wanting to mix & try about 30 different blends from the outset (not to mention the waiting while they steep)
