mod upgrade

No, it's just called friendly debate and discussion, if you want to try TC at some point, there are plenty of experienced people on the forum who can try to help you.

I did actually find what i read quite interesting, i probably will give it a try, you never know i might actually like it. I never thought i would be into RDA's and Squonking and now it's my favourite way to vape.

Gonna try and keep my views quiet now, i seem to be offending everyone .
You didn't offend me mate. I have a few dna and yihi mods, as well as others, and I don't get the hype either. I've done plenty of tc and messed with escribe etc. but to be honest I'm mainly a mech kind of guy so all this frippery is unnecessary to me. See I found replay reasonably useful, once I found the vape I wanted, but at the expense of battery life. Not just a one off experience, but monitored over a period of time. The new yihi chip in my Topside Carbon is as basic as they come, in fact I reckon the one on my ageing Vboy mod is better, so I really don't get why the Topside was so expensive, even after watching a manufacturing vid to try and justify the expense.

Each to their own LordOdin. I hope one day you have the confidence to try a mech, you may (or may not) get a better overall idea of what you like and dislike.

I think I'd be more upset losing my mechs than any regulated device I have.

@LordOdin No offence taken here either mate, We all have our views. Mine is. To enjoy the full subtleties of vaping embrace all its forms from mech to regulated. Today i am using a fatality RTA on a Lost vape Paranormal. and a pandora mech clone topped with a clone Vital RDA and a Uwell Amlet Pod with home made nic salt juice just so i can lower the PG but get a better nic hit when needed. earlier in the week it was a series mech and a squonker. My only vaping dislikes are higher nic and PG juices as it irritates my chest.
Most prefered way to vape is regulated mod with RTA but it's nice to have a change now n then keeps it more interesting.:)

I would love to have a go on a mech but i can't get my head round ohms law and don't want to put myself or anybody else in danger, they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, i think that's right in my case.

Just a simplification on using a mech.

first use build 0.5 ohm. battery, samsung 25r, 30q. Sony vct**. Molicell as long as it is well known batteries over 20 amps Molicell n Sony 25-26amp gives you extra safety as there's a bit of extra amps which also means you can go down lower with your build but for now stick with a 0.5 set up. Build. so make sure your coil(s) are in correctly use either a mod or a ohm's meter to check the build is firing and has no problems notice the coil ohm then replace the top cap and recheck the hole dripper, if theres a difference it means your coil(s) are touching the outer of the cap or they have pushed back and are contacting the post(s) if the ohm's is the same wick and place on your mech. Add Juice add battery press button, vape, wait about 20-30 seconds to give the battery a little recovery time then vape again, Redripping also gives the battery time to recover.
You notice the battery dropping off and not supplying the power, you notice when you need to redrip as the vapour becomes less.
Make sure your battery wrap has no tears and the battery has no damage, ie pressed down positive contact, dents etc.
Remember its all about matching amps to ohm's . http://www.ohmslawcalculator.com/ohms-law-calculator
Best way to calculate is ohm's n 4.2v this will give you the max amps being pulled from your battery. If the answer is more amps than the battery can do then the build needs changing to a higher ohm build for instance your build has come out as a 0.11. you are using samsung 25r rated 20 amps the amps pulled is well over 38 amps, even a Samsung 30t 21700 battery would be over doing its 35 amp rating. My other advice would be don't buy a hyrid mech for your first get a mwch with a 510 connection like on your mods. these use a pin contact for extra safety against short curcuits so you could use a mech with a tank. I hope this info helps you get ohm's law in terms of what you need to be safe if a bloke with one eye severeley impaired and the other impaired can use a mech anyone can.:)
