Mods and toppers

Quick question for mechanical users. Can I use toppers, like evods, with a mechanical, without blowing myself up?

Yes you can, it's the coil inside that makes the difference, not the tank it's self. But on most mech's you will need to use a 510 adapter with skirted tanks, like evods, and they do look a bit silly.
What you do need to watch out for with mech's, if you haven't used them before, is for when the battery gets low. As there is no warning lights, like a vari volt/watt mod, to tell you the battery needs a recharge.

Also worth bearing in mind that to get the best performance from a mech you will benefit from a lower resistance coil. Mechs don't really 'come alive' until you get down to less than 1.5 ohms.

Yes, you can stick an evod on top of a mech with an adaptor and it'll work but you won't be getting the best from the mech.

10 quid will buy you a cheapie dripper, some kanthal wire and a bag of organic wool that'll last you months. It will also greatly enhance your vaping pleasure :-)

Agree that lower ohms work best on mechs. However if you build your own coils it's really easy to build a 1.5ohm evod or protank, and they work fine

yeah u can use any tank u want but should rebuild your coils to below 1.5ohm
