Hiya. I'm very much new to this. I have been vaping since January and hear an awful lot about mods.

I currently have a itaste vv/vw and a mini protank 2.

From my research I think a 14500 mod would be the most suitable as I have ridiculously tiny hands.

Apart from owning something shiny, what would be the benefits of me splashing the cash on one?

Thanks :)

You can take the blue pill...Go down the rabbit hole....And join the sub ohming club......Lower ohms make for better taste and bigger clouds (Generally) most vv/vw setups will switch themselves off if a too low resistance is found.....something that doesn't happen with mechanical mods

The other benefit, is that it's a very simple piece of kit. There is no wiring to go wrong, and nothing to wear out. You buy one and you're done ( unless your afflicted with Shinyitis). It's just in essence your battery and your coil. Because there is no wiring, mods are smaller.

Depends what it is you're after. There are plenty of bigger/ different vv/vw mods around which will give you a consistent vape regardless of the atomiser you are using, just screw on your tank, adjust the wattage to your taste and vape.
A full mechanical and especially sub-ohming does carry a degree of risk as things can go wrong and a totally mechanical device will offer no protection against short circuits etc.

I mean no offence to Blackhack here but I would take your time and be a bit cautious before looking at full mechanical and especially sub-ohm there are benefits but there are risks too and a lot more technical knowledge is required.
The vast majority of people will get a more than satisfactory vape from a variable wattage mod and a regular tank like the iClear or Protank series and you can always move into mechanicals if you still feel something's lacking.

For me the faff of rebuildables and sub-ohm is harder than I want to work!

I'm 3 years in to my vaping journey and have only just started to dip my toe into mechs/rebuildables properly, partly because the kit seems to have become so much better lately but also because the lack of protection is a bit scary.

There are things like hot springs and 'vapesafe' style protection circuits that can help, but I'm treading carefully and can understand the reluctance. The resulting vape though, is lush so there is a reward for the perceived risk too. ;)

I've just started to get into Mechs but I'm using a kick so I've still got the "training wheels" on and, really, it's just because I love the look of a mech more than anything else, sacrilege I know :P
Plus Im pretty lazy when it comes to rebuildables, recoiling pro tanks is about my limit at the moment.
Not sure if the OP meant mechs specifically or just bigger, better mods tbh.

Take the plunge... you will learn a lot. For me a mechanical mod with the right tank and coil makes all the differecnce to the taste. Plus you may find that it will help you in dropping your Nic level.

Thanks all. I don't think it can be bothered with faffing about with coils. I just want something smallish and snazzy! My itaste feels
Like I'm carrying a magic wand and isn't conducive to a stealth vape! Any suggestions ?
