Afternoon all,

Not a "new user" as such, just after advice with what you think would be the best tank for myself.

I use mouth to lung with 6mg or 12mg 50/50 e-liquid, not really fussed by all the wild flavours and sub-ohm kits like I used to be years ago. I seem to be stuck on one flavour now, and they only make it 50/50.

I've used the nautilus for what seems like forever, really like the 0.7ohm coils so would be after something which is similar to this style. What i'm not a fan of is these coils from aspire seem really hit or miss, some last me weeks, some last me just a day. Yes I know how to prep coils for use etc! I find myself spending more on coils sometimes than on eqliquid, and I only use the cheap stuff!

I appreciate the cheaper liquid or the fact they're 50/50 and with a 0.7ohm coil might be the reason why the coils might be not lasting as long, though I'm a bit sceptical of that as some do last a lot longer than others!

Reason I'm asking is I don't want to waste a load of money on a new tank with similar coils as the 0.7ohm nautilus one, but this coil wont work too well with the 50/50 liquid I use, as I was originally of the understanding that you generally use thicker liquids with the sub-ohm coils?

Thanks in advance!

Hi DW4, guess it depends the wattage you are vaping at. I'm the same as you in that I mainly vape MTL and my fav liquids are 50/50 at 12mg. For MTL I don't think you can go wrong with a Zenith or a Zlide tank and I find the coils are generally good for flavour and last well. Worth a look.
Yes the higher VG liquids tend to be for subohm.

Just out of sheer nosiness but what liquid you using?

I agree with the Zlide tank it's the only tank i use for MTL - Fab flavour and Clouds with no leaking :)

Many like the zlide/zenith tanks for mtl. I used one with the 1.6ohm coils (I think theres 5 diffrent coils available now) with no issues at all with 50/50 or even higher pg liquids the coils lasted 2-3 weeks.
You could consider a rebuildable tank. Then for the price of a pack of coils you can get a reel of 28g kanthal wire and a big bag of japanese cotton wich will keep you going for a few years.

The only tanks I use, and have for 6 years, are the Naturevape Mini & Midi Pro`s. Plus I`m still using the first tank I bought. Their coils are very good & are easy to re-wick yourself. If looked after the coils will last for months. I used to buy cheaper alternatives which were good too but now I
re-coil any which fail. The taste with the NV tanks is very good too. I vape mainly 50/50 12 mg but 70/30 liquids work fine too. I suppose other suggestions might be better but I haven`t tried many others.
Heaven Gifts do the Smok Trophy tanks, same as NV Midi, for $8.50. Coils are not as good but you can re-wick them easily.

Yeah if stock coil tanks are your definite choice I'd look at the aspire aio nautilus coils. Far better choice for mtl and the most consistent from aspire.
Used to be a nautilus user myself and have been road test it the new taifun/nautilus in which the aio coils last longest.
The innokin zenith or zlide is exceptional. Probably the first tank to tip the original nautilus for stock coil quality vaping and a deluge of coil choices.
I'd still argue the case for a good rebuildable mtl tank. From the twenty quid plus ephro true to the seventy quid kayfun there's some excellent choices that just need dry burning and rewicking every few day's at a yearly cost of a pack of coils.

My Nautilus 2 had a new lease of life with the 1.8 Ohm NS coils, especially using nic salts, where you buy them from could be a factor, here's a trusted supplier a lot of us use:

I've not had any duffers from the above supplier.
