Hi apes

A friend of mine at work has been telling me to get myself a dripper for god knows how long now... My usual reply being I'm happy with the tanks I've got.

So he turns up this morning with a plume veil clone in hand telling me a new dripper had arrived over the weekend and I could have the plume veil plus wire,cotton...basically everything I need for FREE!!!

I asked if he could build the first one for me so I could watch and see how it's done... He told me no no no no... The trail and error is all part of it.

I've just finished my first attempt and to me it doesn't look half bad... Also the flavour and vapour production are fantastic... I think I may be converted

So now I'm just wanting to see what you guys more experienced think... I'll post some pictures below.

One problem I am having is the drip tip getting very hot against my lips... Is this normal??? I found getting the second coil through the centre post hole a little tricky... The lead kept catching the first coil... Any tips for this??? Also not sure if I wicked it correctly... Should I have more or less cotton???

The wire used was 28 gauge it came in at .26ohms... I did six wraps.

Any tips or advice for future builds would be much appreciated.

Looks a decent build dude but bit of a hot spot in your left. Pulse them till they heat then pinch with tweezers while they cool (do not fire the mod while doing this) should get rid of hot spots and give u a better vape

Looks good,If its working well for you, thats all that matters,Ive watched a couple of vids and then built with the tip of bending the tail upwards slightly before inserting into the post so it naturally deflects upwards off the other coil...works well

Tweezers!!!.... Yeah my pal did mention that

The best way I've found to install the second coil on a four post deck is to gently pull the first coil up and away from the deck and towards the posts. Then install the second coil, tighten down the screws and use a pair of pliers or your fingers if possible to wriggle the leg that's on the middle post until the excess just snaps off, then move your coils into the proper postion.

I actually remove all coil legs like this rather than cutting them off as it looks much cleaner. Be careful though as this method tends to favour thicker wire, thin wires may wobble about, then you think the screw needs tightening down more and then the screw can guillotine the wire and ruin your coil.
