Scrub it lil bit as it needs to glow from inside outwards other than that make sure the coil is in air holes to cool it as u take a drag :)

Hard to tell without a top-down view but he coil looks a bit long for the airflow, might end up with scorched wicks.

Looks like juggernaut wire or certainly has ribbon in it.
That stuff has a tendency to spit hot juice.

It looks to me like you have it wound backwards for how the deck is designed.

The coil should usually align with those dips in the rim (a rod through the coil sits in them), and iirc the body locates in those as well so it sits flush and won't turn.

With the coil wound the other direction it'll more naturally fall into the position I describe above.

Strummed and glowing nicely from the middle but I see your point about the length! Worked ok but would prob breakdown before long but was mainly a practice run so won’t be staying in.
Certainly much easier than I was expecting.
Thinner wire needed as the ramp up was horrendous! Only minimal spitting.
Onwards and upwards!

Ffs! I’ve just looked properly and as @pdg says I’ve got it all on the piss! Got so carrried away with it actually working I didn’t line it up properly and the cap was not sitting down completely there for the coil is too high and completely misaligned for the top cap!

What sadistic bstard thought oh yeah let’s put springy wire on tiny black shiny rings you can’t hold onto!!!
