It's official Ladies and Gents, I'm now a mixologyst (Does that word exist?), obviously still wet behind the ears!

On this day in history, I made my first mix of Swedish Fish and then Menthol. In my first SF mix, used 15% concentrate, 70/30VG and on trial, it didn't taste too bad. I wanted fizz, but seemed to get an underlying fizzle, not quite there, On my second 5ml mix, upped it to a 20% concentrate mix and have put that away in a dark cupboard for a day or two. Must say though, Vapour quantity was surprisingly great.

On the Menthol side of things (love Menthol), went straight for 20% and it just blew my head off, it was like Menthol Flavour X4. Love this! Again, put away for a couple of days to brew. Wont move on to Swedish Menthol Fish for another few weeks, but will keep you posted on how the 2 mixes turn out.

Off of the thread slightly, It is surprising how different the same juice can taste using a different device. Recently brought an itaste and despite changing the VV regularly, I am finding the taste of most eliquids very masked. I know that there have been one or two great reviews on the itaste, but I'm not impressed at all? Something I'm doing wrong? I find the taste is more powerful, stronger and even better on a simple ego kit against the itaste.

Congrats!

The taste is going to be different from every carto to atty, honest to god, you will never find a consistency, which is the problem a lot of new vapers face!

Well done Sir. Steeping is a definite must for Swedish Fish - it will taste better after it.

As for devices to vape on: yup. I have found cartomizers (except in tanks where they get drenched) mute things for me and that some things taste a little sweeter in Vivi Novas than they do via direct dripping. Imists are airy and cool so don't suit some liquids, but are great for Puros at hgh voltage. Bud tank atomizers can only deliver so much and the vapour stream that hits your mouth is less spread (probably the mouthpiece) so suit some e liquids and not others. Top coil, bottom coil, different wick types, different air flows through devices, different power delivery potential, different wattages - all impact on flavour. There will be science behind it all, but there's little research. So not only are you a Mixologist now, you're a bit of an alchemist too and probably in search of a few Holy Grail vapes (metaphor mixing it a bit :) ).

Well done on becoming a mixologist - it`ll be plain sailing once you`ve got into the swing of it :)

What did you have on top of the iTaste ?

I have not put anything on top of the itaste, using their tanks which is what the taste problem prob stems from. Looking to get a connector to stick a nova or similar on.

I found the iTaste tanks to be similar to the eGo-T small tanks, from what I can recall...(it`s all a bit of a haze now), they do both have a distinct peculiarity in flavour, that you can get used to...or not ;)

I used them for months without problems (in taste), but noticed a big difference when I stopped and used alternative options.

I think you are right, I will look about for a connector tonight and get something of my own on top, see what that's like

I#ve found Ego T atomizers good with my bottom feeders, strangely enough, with just a drip tip on top. I rpime them with juice before first use, but that's it. The taste is very very nearly as good as a standard atomizer, but the advantage is that they hardly dry burn - the flavour just diminishes before you need to squonch and that little wick keeps things moist. Sorry I have waffled on at a tangent there - whoops!

Well done taking the first steps mate. 4 X Menthol sounds good

#ocd13 , I have half an email in my drafts which I will finish and send to you re what we spoke about, sorry about delay in getting back to you.
By the time it's brewed it will be Menthol x6!
