My Genny Hell

Well @Vapingmonkey I can only repeat what I mentioned in a thread of mine the other day which you can find HERE Although other methods I have used have all worked for me, this is producing the best out of all of them.

What juice are you using?

And mech mods? Piece of piss mate, I only use my Vamo to check Ohms and battery levels now. They don't blow up in your hand honestly!

Let us know how you get on.[/QUOTE]

I've tried various mixes and stick with a 50/50 might get a mech lol

I tried twisted .32 but the twists were very uneven and I can't go below 1.2ohms atm as I'm using a Vamo

even without drilling you can still use an RSST without any problems and get good airflow ( removing the bung is supposed to help but i never bothered).

in regard to using SS mesh what grade mesh are you using?
i did all mine with 400 mesh and used .32mm kanthal in 4 wraps. the key thing is getting the cotton down the middle of the mesh without it being to tight. literally 1mm thick of cotton and dont twist it. just wet it a little, lie it about 5mm in from edge of mesha nd gently roll the mesh. you need mesh no more than 20mm wide. and make sure the cotton is sticking out the bottom and is fluffled up a little.
roll it so it fits in wick hole but so its not tight. it should be able to move freely up and down ( but without falling out if you tip it upside down as a test.
once youve done that part just do 4 wraps of .32mm ( NOT 32 AWG ) and that should give you around 1.2-1.4 ohms. dont bother with a micro coil just nice evenly spaced coil .
try and aim for something like this ( you can see how loose the mesh is in the hole and this is actually 0.20 mm kanthal which you have so that would be fine for this ).
check for hotspots and hot legs and use tweezers to micro adjust until it glows evenly by pulse fireing.

Its not that I don't want to. Its that I don't have the tools or the time :(

You can fiddle around with different wicks, ohms etc but none of it will work without sufficient airflow. Sorry but drilling the airhole is the only way with these Genny attys.

Ok ok ok Seedy lol I'll drill the buggar lol

Only joking. If I can find the tools and time I will certainly have a crack at it lol

i found one clear and obvious thing with genny.. keep it clean and simple. dripeprs and the like micro coil away to your hearts content but on my genny the most basic of builds were the ones that worked with the least amount of fuss and bother

Well not sure how many wraps you did with the twisted wire or what it came out at? But if you have .28 and do what I did you could just add another wrap or even two to raise the reisitance up. As for your twists being uneven, I would say you need to work on that so in future they ain`t. It is taking a bit of time and care with these things that make all the difference imho. No room for shoddy workmanship like :P
