What's new

my local paper have joined the ranks of numbnuts

They have facebook and twitter accounts and a phone number that's off the hook.

I just went to the pcc direct

I did read that earlier, and as already mentioned none of it adds up.Those toys sure look in good shape considering fire ripped through the house.Get in contact with them and see if that story was based ona statement from the woman who lived there, or the fire department.

Been trying to speak to them, no answer as yet. It sounded like some conflagration. .....

So...

A 13 year old's ego turned into a grenade somehow, blowing out the windows and knocking over an adult.
The mother was more agile than the cat and escaped, maybe the cat was overwhelmed by the smoke (since smoke rises it was probably velcro'd to the ceiling by the 13 year olds)
The plastic toys luckily escaped melting in the ensuing blaze.

Was there an Alien invasion, or the Loch Ness monster involved at all?
Don't know about anyone else but I smell bullsh*t through the smoke.

Hmmm, very very fishy story this.

Many points to consider of course.

1. What is a 13 year old child or one of her similarly aged friends (I find it hard to believe her friends are over 18) doing with an electronic cigarette.
2. Why is this parent not impressing on her child the importance of not leaving devices to charge unattended (too stupid)
3. How does a LiPo battery, which granted can burn very hot with a lot of smoke cause an explosion that would require a similarly sized bit of plastic explosive.
4. In the picture, where is the smoke damage to everything if the house is uninhabitable? I have seen a house rendered uninhabitable by smoke damage, and that certainly looked very different to that picture.

So to sum up, we have:
1. Parental stupidity.
2. Parental stupidity.
3. Bullshit, or something else exploded, possibly a tin of hairspray but even that is not "fast" enough to blow the windows out.
4. More bullshit.

And last but not least 5. which is a useless local press report which is quite clearly slanted to suit an agenda and sexed up beyond all belief.

Not sure I'd want to live in it now. :(
