My vape kit was stolen....

Thanks for the supportive comments guys!! I've raised this with my own line manager yesterday, to establish the best way of going about raising this formally! As mentioned, it's a tricky one to get the police involved when you've been invited for a career development trip to your partner office and also asked to write a blog on your experience. Launching a police investigation after departing, feels a bit awkward and my line manager agrees, so we're gonna have a think about the best way to raise it properly, without causing too much drama....

I've accepted my stuff has gone now and somewhat got over it - I realise people have dealt with their house getting robbed, stolen vehicles and all sorts of stuff, so in comparison, a small vape collection is on the small side of the problems some people face.

On the bright side, we have a £500 bonus coming through in August's pay, for those who scored highly on the end of year review (myself included) so I already know how that's gonna spent :D

Thanks again for the messages though - only fellow vaping enthusiasts can understand the initial gutted feeling at the loss of your gear, which is why I posted here! Cracking forum aswell, for advice and resource!!!

See it as an opportunity to correct any purchasing mistakes you made, LOL ;)

As I said before even if I was on an all expenses paid trip to Buckingham palace and my vape gear was nicked. I would sod everyone else and get the old bill involved. Unless the queen let me shit in her crown and wipe my arse with a Corgi. Management will sweep it under the carpet and keep it all hush hush.

Oi! You cant say that about magg

I feel your pain. I had a shoulder bag full of vape gear nicked at London Bridge station a few weeks ago, I couldn't believe it. The bag was on my shoulder, and I was also carrying a massive bag with a bass guitar in it on my back, so I didn't notice that someone literally cut the strap on the small bag and legged it. I found the strap on a platform a bit later on. I had 2 mods in there (Wismec 21700 and an old Innokin mod), 2 RDA's (Bonza & Berserker MTL), spare batteries, 2 bottles of juice, and of course my house keys. Through sheer luck at that point I had my phone, card, car keys and headphones in my pocket, so at least they didn't take those, otherwise I would have been truly screwed.

Weird thing is I reported it to the police, London Bridge station is packed full of cctv, they could have picked me out in seconds because of the giant bag on my back and found the thief easily, but they phoned me to say they won't bother wasting resources on it because nobody was hurt and the value was not high enough.

For what it's worth you can get home insurance which covers you for theft when you're out and about, I managed to recover almost everything except my keys. Still not a nice thing to happen.

So, not reported to the police and not claiming on either a company or personal insurance policy, with no ex gratia payment to a trusted employee for keeping schtumm?

Yeh, utterly believable.

hea
Feeling down and gutted about the loss of my much beloved vape collection, so thought I'd share my tale with those who will understand my pain....

I've been vaping for 6 months now and have purchased a nice little collection of devices during this time, along with a nifty vape case to store them in along with my liquids. I've carried this around, in my gym bag, daily and my friends and colleagues will vouch for how much I loved it.

So I went on a business trip for work on Monday, to the North of England, where I'd be staying in a hotel for 2 x nights, packed on Monday morning and filled my vape bag up to the brim with all my gear -

1 x Smok G -Priv 2 mod, with 8ml Prince tank and a pack of coils
1 x Nunchuku vape kit, with a pack of coils
1 x Nautilus 2 tank with an Aspire box mod, with a pack of coils
1 x Prism T20s stick, with a pack of coils
1 x An array of premium juices, including Naked 100, Charlies Chalk dust and manabush

I put my vape case into my gym bag as I usually do and set off on my 5 hour train commute journey....I had my Nautilus mini in my pocket for daily use, so I wouldn't have to go into my bag during the journey.

Upon arriving, I spent the afternoon working in our Northern office and when departing at the end of the day, I noticed to my shock and horror that the vape kit was not in my gym bag....I hadn't taken it out all day. I figured I'd maybe put in my suitcase instead, before departing, so went back to the hotel to check and it wasn't there....I then started to doubt my own memory and wondered if I'd even packed it all, so had my housemate check the entire house, including my room - it wasn't there. Fuck.

My bag was left unattended at my desk, in the office, several times throughout the day - the idea of a working professional, in a civil service office, going through my bag and stealing a vape kit seemed a bit hard to believe, until I was informed that somebody else, in that office, had reported having a vape mod stolen for his desk last Friday. I also noticed 3 teenage chavy looking 'interns' working on a desk near where I was sitting....It would indeed appear that my vape kit was stolen from my bag by someone in that office....

I got home this evening and searched the house too, but as expected - it's not here.

Gutted is an understatement. All I have left is my Nautilus mini and one bottle of eliquid :(

Looks like I'll have to start from scratch!

Lesson learned - I'll never put all my gear in one case again and will never leave my vape kit unsecured in the office!!!
bad news

good to hear have a bonus on the way to replace ur lost stuff live and learn mate

Go put your nautilus mini back on the desk and watch the cunt grab it send him for 6 and get some justice [emoji23] in all seriousness that sucks dude and hopefully the company can sort something for you if not at least that £500 makes for a pretty new collection of mods you've never had and/or tanks/RDA/rta's you've never had.

Weird response. I wouldn't kick off at work to that extent over ecigs. I also wouldn't make an inssurins claim for a relatively low value.
