So, whats the best wicking material . . . natural cotton or silica?

Not got my setup yet, just getting materials ready. But im thinking it will be a MCV atomic!

Cotton for drippers, silica or ekowool/voodoowool for KF/Russian/taifun etc etc.

I have the atomic & i do use cotton in there. You could go for silica, just whatever you prefer really so perhaps try both to see what suits. There's no hard & fast rules but some people say that one material works for them in one set up where others say the opposite. It's a suck it & see affair !
