has anyone read up on the forthcoming li-ion batterys with nano wire anodes? they seem to have the ability to be recharged in 10 seconds and up to 10 times the capacity of conventional cells! Everything ive read leads me to believe that they may be released in 2015. Imagine how fantastic this would be and the possibilities for mod makers etc, i havnt found any specs for max current yet but i cant imagine it being less. I for one cant wait!!

Saw that, but this has yet to get out of the lab. Production may be difficult, so I'd reckon 2015 to be rather optimistic. Probably end up in military stuff first, they are carrying increasing weights of batteries of various types. The prices will be eye-watering at first.

Interesting stuff with the batteries. With the atomisers, as long as I can still rebuild my own I will be happy

Once they are affordable every industry will be buying them up especially for electric cars it would be a game changer for them: recharging your electric car would as quick as filling with petrol and much cheaper. Which makes me think that is still a long way off or that's how we will likely hear of it.
