What's new

New Forum and FAQs!!!

@OccultScientist I have come across another small 'issue'.
If you are signed in the website on the PC and you leave it dormant for a while, the site logs you out and you have to sign in again. Is this a glitch or a new 'setting' ?

We are just having a snoop round but looks a lot more robust to what it did before. Love the look and feel of it :)

The old one did that to me as well :)

Same here, couple of hours of being inactive got me automatically logged out.

Couple of things from me. First off, is it no longer possible to view a user's thanks/mentions/tags counts? I know the thank can be viewed on their profile, but the others seem to have disappeared.

Also the likes that a user has and what is displayed next to their posts don't match up. For example @cloudz vapour (as they are on my screen atm) have received 7 likes, but next to their post it says they have received 1.

And final things, because I gripe about lazy stuff, the Alt+S shortcut for posting no longer works. Not sure what forum software you are on, so can't say whether I have found it to work on this system before or not.

xenforo bud :)

Hmm doesn't seem to have a post shortcut as default.

What about my other questions?

EDIT: Alt+S shortcut can be reactivated by switching to BB Code Editor.

2nd EDIT: while shortcut is reactivated in BB mode, you have to manually select BB Code Editor every time, which kinda defeats the point of the shortcut.

Just a random thing that I've noticed is that on previous version of site when you clicked on a forum section you would get a list of sub-headings and at the bottom there would be a list of which mods were responsible for that section which could prove handy (I never used it myself but it did seem like a good idea) how do we know who does what now? thanks
I am otherwise loving the upgrade.

Basically, we have done away with moderators for specific forums (they were all the same anyway ;)) and you can now contact any member of staff as required
