ive got some rasberry im not too bothered about so was going to make a 10ml mix with koolada just to see if its vapable before i add it to the swaps bottles.

Cream or white chocolate blend well with raspberry & other berry flavours - balances well with the sharper fruits

Get the em and the sweetener. I have had no problem with flavour using boots VG @70/30.. I bought some kh creamy custard concentrate from justvape247.com for my first custard mix tho!

I use the crazy creamy custard. I mixed it at 15%, with 3% dulce de lehce, and 1drop of EM/10mls. I love it! Needs 2-3 weeks though. Saying that I don't give it baths, sunshine, regular whisking or microwaving! I just shake it each day, and for the first week squeeze the air out of the bottle and shake it up every day. I am still an amateur at mixing but think this compares with Grants, maybe a touch sweeter.

Can't make head nor tail of this mixing lark.
Just what do I need to start mixing my own juice ?
I can get 72mg Nicotine 100 ml for £12.50 free p&p, but do I need it in pg or vg ?
If I go for pg, do I need to go to Boots to get a bottle of vg ? and if so, does it come ready to use ?
Then there is the water, that I can get at Halfords, or so I am told, Sweetners ? Concentrates ? see what I mean !!!!
I really want to try this but I seem to be running blind.
Help me sleep at nights please.

Hey Phil, I've only jumped not mixing a month or so ago myself. 72mg nic is perfect. That's the strongest concentration we can get, means a bottle will last longer. You can use in VG or PG. It is said that it lasts better in pg, I personally get it in vg. Most flavourings come in pg. If you are not looking at making very high vg mixes, no water required. If you want to make just high vg mixes you can but AG (vg watered down for you). If you want to make 10ml @18mg 50vg/50pg then you could use:-
2.5ml of 72mg nic in VG
2ml of flavouring (normally pg)
3ml pg (taking total to 5ml pg)
2.5ml of vg (taking total to 5ml)
Job done! Basically the nic amount or flavouring amount count as the same amount towards your vg and pg totals. I would buy 72mg nic, vg (or ag), pg, EM, sweetener and a few concentrates or flavourings, some empty 10ml bottles, some 1ml syringes and a couple of 2.5ml syringes. I think that would do you. I'm getting very longwinded now, feel free to pm me, but otherwise keep asking questions in this mixology section, a friendly bunch round here!

Get the 72mg nic in PG form, it's far easier to draw PG up a syringe than VG.

VG from boots is good stuff.

It's distilled water you want, the very same stuff you use to top up car batteries, this is used to dilute the VG to make it less viscous, so it wicks better. You want to add 10% distilled water to the VG. Now you have AVG (Aqueous Glycerine).

You'll also want some PG without nicotine, this is so you can make the balance right for whatever you're aiming for, (72mg PG needs a lot of VG to make it say 18mg, adding VG to make it 18mg will end up like 30/70 PG/VG, adding less VG and adding some PG you can aim for 50/50 or whatever you want.)

Flavour concentrates only you can decide what you like, just make sure you don't buy oil based or flavours containing Diacetyl. the following resources will be of some help:

For equipment, you'll want 10ml syringes for nic/pg/vg and 1ml syringes for flavour concentrates.

You may also want measuring cylinders like the following for making your AVG:

For sweetener i just use EM (Ethyl Maltol) although i don't use it in every recipe, some people use stevia, and others use sucralose, all down to personal preference.

And lastly, when you're syringing nic, wear safety glasses, i've squirted it in my eyes and it was painful

Oh and steeping!! Fruits and menthol you can usually mix up and vape straight away after a shake.

Mixing deserts/custards and tobacco's you'll want to let them stand in a dark place for at least a week, sometimes longer.
