Hi all new to forum .

I've purchased a new aspire glint starter kit.
I was surprised when opening the box and wanting to get it going that it didn't come with a battery installed.
So after waiting another day I went out and got a battery from local vape shop the 18650 .

Now since putting the battery in the mod there is no power or lights to the mod what so ever .
Doesn't even show charging symbol .

So I'm at a point I don't know what to do or what it could be .
Will the battery charge through the mod as it does come with lead to charge .
Or does the battery need to be in a proper battery charger .

I've had it on charge for about 2 hours now and there's nothing .

Any suggestions

Cheers

Charging outside the mod is always recommended, but tbh I've never done it. You will be fine charging with the cable in general, just don't charge overnight.

Mods never come with batteries.

Stupid question but have you 5-clicked to turn it on? Any mod you get would always advise to watch youtube vids etc for how to operate.

Saying that, it sounds like the battery or mod is a dud. Even with a depleted battery, once plugged in the screen will show a charging symbol.

Where did you buy the mod from?

Try clicking the power button on the mod 5 times quickly to turn the mod on.

Edit.
Ninja'd.

If that turns out to be the issue then maybe read the instruction manual before going any further. :D

Hard to say ... presuming the battery is in the right way... the battery or the mod could be the issue.

Hi @Jason Crocker and welcome to the planet.

i dont know this kit https://www.cremedevape.com/Aspire-Glint-/-Nautilus-GT-Kit

which 18650 battery did you buy. make and model number will help.
on first charge it can take a good 2-4 hours to fully charge the first time especially if you are using a trickle charge through a computer usb. most kits will say if the battery can be charged in the mod. we always suggest an external charger would be better and safer.
have you tried the fast 5 clicks on the fire button to turn on.

worth a look

Did u make sure there is no plastic stickers over the battery contacts

Use a flashlight to check the contact inside, of kinda scrape at it with a screwdriver (gently)

Thanks for all the replies but yes I have done all the above and some .

I left it on charge over night last night an still nothing.

I'm taking the battery back to the shop today just to get them to try it that way I'll know if its battery or a dud mod.

Will update situation later

NEVER leave a battery charging overnight. easiest way to risk burning your house down.
especially as something is not working correctly be it a duff mod or duff battery.

you didnt mention which battery you bought. samsung, lg, sony or other. and is it 2500mah, 3000mah, 4000mah.
