New RDA user with flavour issues!?

So... just got myself my first RDA: the Wotofo Recurve but I’m having a flavour issue. I’ve used the coil and cotton that came with it (coil comes out at .27ohm). Tried vaping between 40w and 55w and I’m getting plenty of vapour, just very little flavour or sweetness. Here’s a pic of my build:

Yes, I know it’s designed for squonking and I’ll probably get a mod in the future, but don’t see how dripping would effect the flavour? Like I say getting a massive saturated vape, just missing the flavour!


Any suggestions?

I was fine setting it up, the only thing I took a guess on was how much cotton to put through it.

Your coils at the right height so your using too much cotton try with less and I'm sure you will get flavour

Can't quite see from the pic but is your coil higher than the sides? Apparently it should be level or slightly lower... 's wot I've read anyway...

Have you got any recommendations for cotton? I was thinking about getting some COTN Threads, as these are the ‘shoelace’ style so kinda takes the guess work out I’m thinking?

Yes, I’ve got it pretty much level. I think I may have over stuffed the cotton into the sides as well. Is it suppose to just be touching the bottom of the deck?

I’d say your coil is to high did you use the inc tool for the length ? I cut mine just shorter

Yes, I did use the tool. Someone else said to cut it a bit shorter. I’ll give that a try later, cheers.

Basicly the way I do it is pop the coils in place my finger on top of the deck and slightly press down the coil so it’s just below the top of he deck

It's hard to tell from the pic but I'd say rewick a little lighter, and yeah just touching the bottom of the well. I cut my coils so they were just below the top of the sides. I doubt the cotton that comes with the rda is all that great. Cotton bacon is good and it's easy to use, you just peel off what you need. You'll get a feel for it!
