New Royal Mail Regulations Article (And a wee comic!)

I work for a Private courier company you can open the package if it is suspicious or mis declared the same worldwide. Not that you would want to open it if it showed as Orange ( organic) in the x ray machine and had a couple of wires leading to it :)

Any carrier can open a suspicious package we do it all the time especially after x raying the package that was declared as books for example and it shows the books are full of fags ! We x ray all shipments that are to be exported for Hazardous items , explosives and miss declared items so opening shipments that are suspicious is everyday practice. I am sure the RM will do the same.

Just a couple of thoughts:

1 Under an x-ray scanner wouldn't bottles of flavouring look just as "suspicious" as bottles of e-liquid? Presumably RM won't be able to tell that bottles don't contain nicotine until they've opened them and tested the contents.

2. Does this mean ego batteries can no longer be shipped by post?

Ego's are fine as they are batteries WITHIN a device non removable by the user :)
