Hi all, not been vaping long just a couple of months and today I decided to get a better vape than the one I had been using, I bought a smok alien 220 kit this morning. It won't turn on won't charge, iv checked everything a dozen times incase I'm missing something but still nothing!
When I plug the charge cable in the smok logo appears on the screen then the batteries flash up on the screen briefly but then it's dead. Feels like it's heating up a bit when it's on charge but that's it. Called the shop and there advise was to just let it charge overnight. I'll be taking it back to them tomorrow to get it swapped but before I do that just wanted to know if anyone else had this?

Hi & welcome

Are you charging via USB? Did the shop not explain about battery safety and external chargers?

If it`s not charging, the last thing you want to do is leave it unattended overnight - have you got a separate charger ? are the batteries in the right way round ?. I would take it back in morning .

I've handled a few customers Aliens. (Sounds dodgy)

5 clicks doesn't seem to wake some up.

So I do it again, 2 cycles of trying to wake it and it comes to life.

Although it does sound like the batteries are dead.

Welcome to the forum and the world of Smok, My advice is take the Alien back to where you got it because it sounds like a dead one, but get another mod not a Smok as a replacement. Smok especially the Alien are notorious for problems.

Cheers for the replies guys, the first thing I did was check the batteries and iv you tubed and googled it before I came on here. I didn't get an external charger and the shop didn't.mention anything about a charger just told me to plug it in when I got home and leave eit to charge for a while.

Stupid I know, I would never do it myself you understand. Are the batteries wrapped in plastic shrinkwrap as well as wrapper. It would flash briefly then nothing, as I understand. Not from experience obviously.:S
