New to mixing advice please

Hey guys i'm new to mixing and the forum so hello everyone
I recently started using an inokin t18 to help me cut down and hopefully eventually quit
I watched a few videos on e liquid and decided to give it shot making my own
I have bought
500 ml pg and 500 mil vg
100ML 7.2% (72MG) SUPREME Unflavoured UK Nicotine
25 10 ml e liquid bottles
250 ml mixing jug
Tfa strawberry ripe
Tfc peachy mix
Tfa vanilla custard
Fw bavarian cream
Cap sweet cream
i was going to copy a recipe i saw on youtube by vaping with vic with the above flavors
I allso bought
Fw skittles
pope and brewers mixed berry jelly bean
1 set of really cheap digital scales £3 off ebay
My main problem is with scales they were very glitchy at first with number fluctuations but seemed to have settled down now
However they are not calibarated properly as far is i can tell
For example a 5 pence coin should weigh 3.25g now when i put the coin on the scale it comes in at around 3.3g then will drop down to below 3.0g after some time on the scale
I know its my bad for cheaping out on the scale and i will try and find a better set but do you think they could be used to make a small amount of juice to try
I tested adding liquid to to the jug using a syringe and they registered the 10ml of water i put in ok
Maybe i should make some without the nic then add that later ?
What would you guys advise

Get a 5, 10 and 50ml measuring cylinder cheap off ebay. Accurate and no need to calibrate or worry about them giving you wrong readings.

use the syringe to measure your mix's until you sort your scales out, Ok can be a bit of a faff but
it will do for small mix's to get you going.
I would also edit your post so your not advertising where you got your nic from as its not
technically legal to buy 72 mg !

0.05g won't really make too much of a difference but 0.25g certainly would!

I'd mix by volume for now, 0.2ml etc until get a decent set of scales.

I've used these for about... 18 months now and they have been perfect. I mix fairly regularly and always find these accurate. Alot bloody cheaper than what I paid as well now!

I would say to use a 30ml syringe and make small batches/mixes to start with..
I made the mistake of making up 120ml 200ml mixes only to end up down the drain..
Use the potv mixing calculator it’s the best one..and steep properly

The uk nicotine part is not where i bought if from i think it just notes that its made in the uk
I didn't know it was not allowed to purchase 72 mg and maybe its not what it says it but it seems to have been purchased quite a few times
I tested the scales further with the jug and water and from tare they seem to do the job so i mixed this with no nicotine

Has anyone tried the skittles or the jelly bean flavors i have and are they any good , and do they have a lower steap time

You really need to add the nic as it's mixing as that's one of the main parts that needs steeping. If you add it 2 weeks later, will need to leave it again for 2 weeks.

Never tried those flavours (Skittles & Jelly Bean) but I have all the individual flavours you are using in recipe. Recipe looks ok but I wouldn't expect much of a strawberry punch from it.

Sorry i personally have not tried them flavours myself so unable to comment on them mate
Yes you can add the nic at a later date no problem
There is a few place it is still possible to buy nic from but as said technically the max strength you can legally buy is 20 mg
so its best to not post who or where it came from.

TBH i have never heard of steeping nic myself.
Quite a few mixer's i know never add it to the mix until its ready to use.
But hey we all have different ways / views on doing things.

You need to add the nic or it won’t steep right. There are a lot of posts on here discussing the role nic plays in steeping. It reacts with the flavour concentrates.
