HI all,

New to mixing and after a couple of failed attempts last year, I tried again recently, this time mixing by weight, and tried a Strawberry Cheesecake recipe from DIY OR DIE and after a shake and 1 day steep tried it and i'm pleasantly suprised that it's rather good considering my previous attempts.

I now want to adjust this recipe as I would like the piecrust flavour to be more pronuonced. I mixed up 10ml of the following recipe:

CAP New York Cheesecake 6%
CAP Sweet Cream 1%
CAP Sweet Strawberry 2%
TFA Strawberry (RIPE) 3%
TFA Graham Cracker (Clear) 1.5%
Sucralose (Sweetener) 1.5%
MIX AT (MAX VG) or 70VG 30PG

I have vaped around a third of the liquid, so want i want to know is if I want to enhance a particular flavour, how do I go about this using the existing eliquid that i've just made? Do I add more of a flavour by drops/weight until I like how it tastes? But then how do I determine what the overall percentage of that flavour will be?

Is there a way of doing this instead of making a new batch as I think that'll be a waste.

Your help and thoughts would be appreciated.

Cheers

It's going to be much easier to just finish that juice off and try the changes on your next batch. If you want to alter this juice though you'll need to measure the amount left set your calculator with the current percentages to create that amount of juice, make a note of the weight of the flavour you want to change and then make the change to that % and and then add the difference to the mix, eg Graham Cracker (Clear) 1.5% at 6.66ml = 0.1g and at 2% = 0.133 you would add 0.03 to the mix. Not exactly the easiest to do since most drops ~ 0.02g but i guess you'll get an idea if that's the right direction to take your next mix.

ive found this recipe spot on maybe give it a week steep then try again hopefully all the flavours should balance out more

Give it a longer steep. Strawberry tends to overpower everything else for the first week, try a new batch with 2% graham cracker (clear) and leave it a week at least

Thanks all, i figured I'd have to do a new mix. Just thought there might be an easier way, although i would have thought anyone trying new mixes or creating their own would have a easier way of adjusting percentages on the fly.

There's nothing easier than making another batch at revised percentages ... and it's hardly a waste if you're enjoying it ... point is, you want to be able to replicate it once you're pleased with the results, so don't tinker with what you have now.
I'm surprised that recipe works after just one day of steeping ... it's going to change as it matures for up to a month. Still, you and your taste buds might prefer it fresh.

I was surprised too, nice strawberry and slight cheesyness like you get from a cheesecake but slightly lacking a biscuit base, not saying it's perfect yet but you're right, a steep hopefully will bring more out of it.
