What's new

new to mixing

really
100ml pg base 54mg nic
75ml vg
75ml pg
50ml flavours (added as i go)

Bascially you want to end up with 250ml base

Which will have a higher nic base than 18... now your flavouring MAY NOT add up to an additional 50ml in total. Some only require 1-4% of the total mix which is a ml here or there, others require up to 30%... so... what you propose to do is decant into a bunch of 10ml bottles and add flavours as you go with a complete disregard to the varying nicotine level you may or may not end up with as an end result. Somewhere between 15mg and 24mg...for each depending on flavour concentrate needed...

If you mix all of that up in one go (Minus the flavours) you will end up with a 70/30mix at a strength of 21.6mg Nic. As you add the flavour the nic will come down but the PG ratio will go up.

yes 250 base and add as i go, not to bothered about nic strength as i vape 18 and 24 so not too concerned was more bothered about the pg vg ratio as the nic base has already got pg in

Just to confirm what Andy has told you - using the numbers you have supplied and ignoring the flavourings - this is what you will end up with:

250ml of 21.6mg/ml juice with a 70/30 PG/VG ratio

The flavours also have PG so the more flavour you add, the higher the PG percentage in your final mix.
I find it impossible to work out a reasonably exact ratio unless it's a flavour I use often and know the exact percentage I need to add.

If you're determined to make a lot of base and add flavour you could end up with a lot of stuff you don't like.
I'm fairly new to mixing and was advised to start with no base, just PG/VG and flavour, to avoid wasting expensive nic.
I didn't do that but started with 10 mls and was lucky, but had to add more and different concentrates to make it vapeable so ended up with a completly different ration and strength.

you have trouble reading mate :)

Yeah, sorry about that. Might try mixing in a big batch when I get my next lot of base nic. Would make it quicker to mix your flavours and would only need the rubber gloves out once :)

No worries mate, everyone was saying the same thing :)
Where are good places for flavour concentrates, preferably somewhere that does gold/silver as its what the other half likes as she's new to vaping lol

whit77, cig eliquid .co.uk do gold and silver flavour concentrate by Hangsen. Sorry, can't post a link as my poxy tablet won't let me without making it an twenty minute task!
