What's new

New to POTV

Hi @Markmcc1980 and welcome

Congrates on your first day.

My only advice would be - as far as your budget allows - to keep trying new juices and equipment until you find something that works for you better than a cigarette.

I still have a packet of baccy and a packet of rizla that I've clung onto, but haven't been tempted in about 2 years so now is probably the time to ditch them.

Hi and welcome to the planet well done on your first day & keep it up, ps remember if you need help then ask away as we was all newbies at one point & there is no such thing as a silly question..

I put the patch on when I went to bed on Tuesday night and that got my through the morning yesterday. I took it off at 4pm when I finished work and didn’t put another one on last night. I am still going without a smoke (in fact my cigarettes and lighter are currently in the car). Although I am vaping a lot more than I would like I am not chain vaping, but I am not forcing myself to be vape only at the minute.

A word of warning on the patches, especially the 21mg. If you're vaping a lot and have a patch on, it can have a negative effect on your sleep patterns. Too much nicotine caused me to have really weird, sometimes disturbing dreams. Even woke my misses and myself up in the middle of the night a few times 'cos I was yelling in my dream, and in real life !

It's not uncommon, according to my 'stop smoking' counsellor.

Easily rectified though, just take the patch off before you go to bed, then slap it back on the following morning, after you've had a shower.

I know exactly what you mean, had a couple of crazy dreams that night. Fortunately, I only needed the patch to get me through my first morning, didn’t even have it on for 24 hours.
