Hi Guys, I'm looking for abit of advice. Recently purchased a Tsunami RDA and a kanger dripbox. Before using on the dripbox i've been using the tsunami on my eleaf ipower 80w to try and get the hang of building etc.

The problem i'm having is i've tried to follow some guides for basic builds but I seem to be getting less clouds and not much better flavour than i get of my cleito tank on same mod. I've ordered a load of cotton an24g wire so I can keep practicing, but I'm a bit stumped where i've gone wrong.

Any help, adivce and tips greatly appreciated as I want to get this right.

Thanks.

Are you raising the coils slightly out of the juice well? Are you giving it enough power? I always find drippers work best with a few more watts.

Cheers for the response. The coils are sitting just above the air flow inside the juice well, as I heard this was the best place for them. I've been running it at about 80w, i guess i could try higher seeing as the coil has come out at about 0.3. I seem to only get 3-4 puffs from a drip though where as i've read people getting about 10. Does the wicking and coil look ok? Is there enough cotton in there?

For what it's worth, when I started, and I'm by no means a seasoned veteran, I succeeded by repetition. I'd build, try, throw it out and start over. Coiling and wicking is a bit of an art but fortunately wire and cotton are really cheap. Just keep a working tank by so you can vape while building or you'll get stressed. :)

80 watt seems high to me though. I'd try rewicking with very little cotton and then with a lot. Get a feel for what difference it makes. Just some general hints. YMMV and all that.

Hi @Flymi try a side on photo as well as that may help people to work out if it's coil height or wicking. Those coils should ideally work anywhere from around 40w up to around 75w but 80w should still be fine. I would def expect you to be getting decent flavor and clouds at that wattage tho.

The wattage your using should be plenty... In fact id run it at more like 60w.

Hard to tell but it could be too much cotton, re-wick with just enough to make it a snug fit in the coils and then just enough to touch the bottom of the deck.

I have the Tsunami and it produces amazing flavour, I get at least 6 puffs running it on my series box.

Sounds like too much cotton.
When I first started building coils on my Derringer, without realising I too was adding too much cotton.
You only need a small amount of cotton, don't forget once saturated in juice the cotton expands.

Hi guys thanks for the replies. I have tried rewicking and running it at 70 w, seems better but still not what i'd say is better flavour than the cleito :s. Seems to take a long time to ramp up at 60-70w though and definatly not getting the same clouds as the cleito at 55w.

Heres a side on picture as mentioned above to see if it can help.
