If you can post a picture of your build then someone can tell you where you are going wrong otherwise people are just guessing what's wrong.

Just my thoughts,,,,
Assuming your coil is heating up evenly and has not developed a hot spot which you can cure by stroking or strumming..
And If your getting dry hits at X watts with wicking thats Not too tight/dense, Drop the power to a level that you dont get dry hits, The User variable is the depth/strength of your draw and if your drawing that much more in you must be drawing off more vapour than the wick can replenish, so its gotta be either even less wick or fewer watts to get you to the sweet spot,
