Hi Lockett85 - nice to have you here!
.
I'm very new to vaping as well, only been at it about 2 weeks. In response to your questions I want to give feedback on what eqip I got for starters and a little of my experience until now.
Equipment: I bought myself a
eGo-C. Mainly because it has 2 batteries and and the fact that you can totally replace every part appealed to me. But I have had some small issues with the filling/re-filling on this though. One issue is that the hole in cartridge very often is to narrow to fit the drip-nozzle of your e-sig juice. So you need a middle-thingy like a pipette f.ex. The second was the issues with actual leakage from the cartridges althoug I couldn't find anything I'd done wrong. The cartridge has a "track" on eash side and inside on the bottom of atomizer/clearomizer floor there are also two holes. Seems like the right thing was to NOT aligne these. The other is placing the device horizontally which I'm not sure it likes too much? But these cartridges have also worked with no problem at all, and these are the type you will get included in starter kit. They are very nice to vape from.
(Hope I get the part-names right now...) Regarding the clearomizers (where tanks or cartridges are put inside) there is a couple of things to notice as this is probably the part you will deal/handle the most: But firstly, the eGo-C has it's own type of fitting to the battery, and this fact reduces the number of clearomizers that you can use. This information is usually placed below the product picture. It is usually describes as "eGo-compatible" or "510-compatible" etc, but you will learn to spot the types as you get more experience... The second is that eGo-C has this system of refillable tanks w/ a mouthpice that goes inside the top part while others like
this types have a top filling which can also be describes as "a one pice" - the part that makes the vape and attaches to the battery. In my experience I have found the top-filling type to be easier to handle because you avoid the drip-nozzle size problem (all nozzles will fit becaus of the relatively large hole whe unscrewing the mouthpiece) and you really don't have to use any toiletpaper to wipe excess fluid while unremoving to begin the refill-procedure. You can refill the top-loaders very very easily, where as bottom-loaders you first have to unscrew from the battery and the unscrew the clearomizer (tank-part). However a top-loader benefits from having not near-empty amounts of fluid in the tank as the atomizer intake is near top. This type you can place horizontally, up-side down, any way you like and it won't leak at all.
Alternatiely, if not buying a starter kit, check kit pricing and see if you can get two eGo-C and 5 atomizer heads for the price of the starter kit - because it also includes 5 atomizer-heads (value ~£10)
For starter flavours I have bought and tried :
Shire Malt as a pure vape, and either
XO Supreme or a
Virginia that you can add some drops of
Vanilla,
Apple Gold or
Licorice or even
Strawberry/Lime into (10 ml bottles). I even got this e-liquid called
TCV from TopCookie because it had got quite a renome on the web. Then buy 30ml of the one tobacco you like the best. This is the fun part: Mixing to your own taste! I guess the main divide has to do with if you are a sweet-tooth or a fruit-lover... But it is probably also the costliest part; When to stop buying all thes exciting different tastes?!
Can't think of anything else at the moment, best of luck to you!
