New user review - or am I doing it wrong?

Oh, I get taste - Like i said, the protank/vamo combination is just great and I would recommend - if only the batteries (which came with the vamo) lasted longer and the protank didn't drink juice (or seem to) and wasn't so bloody hard to open for refilling.

Maybe I need to buy more shiny stuff to have a comparison? Hmm, shiny stuff....

Cheers

Rule number 1 on VV Mods like the Vamo. If your going to pay out good money for a good MOD, please dont scrimp on the price of batteries. Go visit torchy on ebay (search threads on this forum to his links) and invest in a couple of expensive but named and top quality batteries and I think you will see a big difference in mod performance and how long it lasts. Torchy comes highly recommended on this forum as many ebayers and such alike use copies of named batteries, we know his are genuine.

Also, if your having trouble undoing tanks, batteries etc, please see the link on the for sale section of this forum for "Mod Grips" I believe they are called. A simple piece of rubber that enables you to undo such items.

I have a zmax similar to the vamo and I have 5 batteries for it I use them in rotation but if I'm out I keep 2 spare 18650 batts on me and usually a spare tank and 2 bottles of juice this all fits easily in my jacket pocket as for needing grips to unscrew the tank you should watch out how tight ur screwing it in because it could wreck ur threads or push your firing pin in u should twist it on till u feel resistance it doesn't need to be like a wheel nut get urself a coupla spare efest 18650's and a batt box from MrKraken or myepack and you'll be jammin - 8ml of juice is a little high I chain vape most days and I'm only goin through about 7-8ml so maybe an issue there does it leak at all

I've got a V3 with a Protank and I generally use 2.2 ohm heads. I get 1-2 days out of an 18650 and I would say I'm a moderate vaper. I did spend a little extra on getting some decent Samsung batteries so maybe that makes the difference? Your juice usage seems high to me? Are you getting any liquid in the centre tube? I had a faulty batch of Kanger coil heads recently which resulted in a lot of leaking and a lot of juice wastage (mostly into my mouth!).

You mentioned when you first got your vamo/PT that you were impressed by the vapour and flavour you got compared to the CE4.

That vapour/flavour has to come from somewhere, it comes cos the PT/Vamo is using more juice, more liquid is being turned into vapour when you push the button, so you have more vapour in your mouth each draw and more of it is hitting your tastebuds cos the cloud is denser so you get more flavour.

If you're using batteries that came bundled with the kit then they probably aren't that great 1 18650 battery should last about a days worth of vaping. Take a look at Torchy for battery supplies - any of the ones he sells are good. Ideally get some IMR batteries and you should notice a difference. The EFest 2000mah IMR ones are good times.

If you're having problems with the ProTank base and it's a Kanger one then you've probably either cross threaded it and/or you are doing it up too tight, you can get replacement bases from lots of vendors for a couple of £.

You can get your carrying around kit down to a vamo with PT a 10ml juice bottle and the eGo with CE4. It pays to take a backup battery/clearo with you in case you lose/break your main PV. Though good batteries will mean you won't need spare batteries.

In order to dial down how much juice you're using, take longer slower drags and that will help a little, and check that the vamo is set to RMS mode.

You can get good juice pretty cheap it might be worth finding some of the cheaper ones that you enjoy and buying larger amounts for using at work and keeping the better ones for at home. 8ml a day is a bit on the higher side but not huge. If you find that your vaping habits do mean you use that much a day it needn't cost loads.
