Greetings.

I hope you can offer me some help and guidance with my new journey.

I started vaping 12 days ago on a bit of a whim, I've been smoking some 30+ years and never once thought about giving up - well I thought about it very occasionally but was never tempted to try.

Not sure why I suddenly decided to give vaping a go - someone on a forum I use (totally unrelated to vaping) was talking about it so I thought I'd give it a go.

So I went into my local shop, The Vaping Vault in Brighton and tried it out - lovely helpful folk there and I ended up walking out with an eGo C Twist with a CE4 (I think its a CE4) and a couple of juices.

The last 12 days have been a revelation - I haven't smoked a fag nor have I wanted one - no cravings, nothing, its amazing!

Now my worries - I have one battery and one clearomiser - is this enough? I'm really worried that the battery is going to die on me or the clearo is going to go bang.

In a bid to counter my fears I bought a KangerTech Pro tank 2 which should arrive tomorrow. But will I get on with it? Is the Pro Tank a good upgrade? I don't want to start rebuilding things I just want them to work with the minimum of fuss. Should I get a couple of CE4's t be on the safe side?

My next purchase will be another battery, but what? Again, I want the minimum of fuss but I want something that works, won't run out of power quickly. A vamo (I dunno - I like the look of them, they look "meaty" and designed to last)

Maybe I just need to calm down, watch some videos and get more comfortable with this whole thing.

I've read loads of posts on this forum and others and the more I read the more nervous I become - the terminology, the acronyms, etc.

I don't want to spend loads on this (i do that on my bikes) I just want a decent set up that works along with a back up kit (or two back ups??).

Nor do I want to spend my evenings rebuilding things, I don't have the time.

I suppose what I'm asking is for someone to help me along with this journey, someone who understands how confusing it all is to a newbie.

I won't even begin to discuss my lack of understanding with juices - Let me get the kit right before I worry too much about them!!

Phew - I feel a bit better now that's of my chest, apologies for the long post

Cheers

Hi there and welcome to the planet!

We've ALL been in your exact situation, so have no fear!

Definately get another battery, even one like you have is fine. Instead of the Vamo, I would suggest the SVD (I have one) and think it is a better option and better quality ( all though the v5 vamos look good too! )

You will need some back up batteries at least 1 or 2 just in case... they are batteries with bits of wire inside (the Egos) and they can go faulty with little warning.

And the atomiser (the CE4 on top) is a disposable item so yes you will be buying replacements of those. They last anywhere from 3 days to longer than 2 weeks, but it is dependent on how you vape, how long you vape, and what kind of e-liquid you are using.

However much you spend to get going, it is still less than smoking for a month ;) and it is priceless compared to the amount of time you are adding to your life :) the payoff is great either way!

Welcome to the planet, sounds like you've gotten on well with the gear you have, maybe another of the same as a back up for now, and with time progress with out the rush. The pro tank is a good upgrade, see how you get on with it. Deffo pick up another battery, if your happy with the vape vault one I'd go for another one of those for now, whilst you look round and see whats available.

welcome to the planet buddy you're doing well but yeah i'd suggest getting at least another battery so you've got one while the other is charging the kanger protanks are very little work I have 3 of em if you want to change flavour its washable it all screws apart and you get a couple of spare heads with it when it gets gunked up you can pop the head apart and clean out the wick then dry burn it you can find videos on how to do that on youtube its really easy and as KMS said we've all been in your situation with a thousand questions and worries running through our heads give it a few weeks and you'll be lookin for lots and lots of shiny stuff - happy vaping!:welcome1:

Benvenuto Guzzista! ;)

Is one bike in the garage enough? No. Likewise for vaping - have back-ups for your back-ups. Before long you'll be looking at ePipes, attys and mech mods. :D

Welcome to the planet from just down the road.
some great advise above, i personally carry 3 ego sticks about all with different tanks and flavours for when im out at work etc, cant be doing with a battery going flat on me so back up for me backup is essential imo.

+1 on what the nice lady has already said. you can never have enough spares.
As for the Itaste SVD and the Vamo V5. Both work extremely well, and already having both myself, both are recommended. (not buy both, but one or the other). And both will take almost any top.

Ps. Sorry forgot the welcome. Welcome to the planet.

Welcome to the Planet! Great to hear you're enjoying vaping.

The battery is unlikely to go bang. However you can never rule out losing them, accidentally breaking them (don't send them for a swim in your coffee, they really don't like that ;) ) so a spare is a good plan.
The eGo Twist is a really good choice to start with and another one of those would be a fine backup, it's also handy to be able to use one battery while the other one is on charge.

I wouldn't buy any more CE4's myself. They just aren't all that good. Also you might find that the ProTank you've got coming is a bit big for the battery you have, though it will come with a 'beauty ring' to make it look good, it'll be a bit top heavy, especially when it's full of juice.

I'd hold off till it gets there, and if you prefer the quality of vape you get from the ProTank then get another one of those, or a ProTank 2 Mini if you find it a bit big.

I can certainly recommend a VAMO they are pretty meaty, also take a look at the SVD or the SmokTek SID or maybe an MVP if a squarer battery suits you more, they're all a similar price and all give similar performance and should all last a good while. Your ProTank2 will fit nicely on any of those as well.

I won't even begin to discuss my lack of understanding with juices - Let me get the kit right before I worry too much about them!!

Well as you are within striking distance of a decent Vape shop (from what you say Vaping Vault sounds pretty good) the best way to try out new juices and see what you like is to go to a B&M shop. There is just no substitute for trying before you buy. Once you've found a few juices from there that you like then it's easier to pick out some of the other popular flavours that are online that are similar.

Thank you for the support, its very much appreciated!

I'll go get a couple of extra batteries and tanks tomorrow.

And Mawsley - your comment hit a note - I have two bikes in the garage, neither are working at the moment!!
