Hello all new members of POTV. I thought I would share my experience of using this forum. I have no previous experience of using any form of social media and truly believe I have lucked into the very cream of the crop.
I gave up the evil weed very nearly 12 months ago on the 19th October 2015. I had done some research and had been 'lurking' on the forum right up until I joined proper in February.After joining I was 'active' on the forum and made some cyber friends along the way, this was good and we had a few laughs. I joined in on the charity raffles and generally made a bit of a nuisance of myself with beginner questions and inappropriate comments.
Everything changed when I made the decision to get to Vapefest and make my way to the POTV tent and introduce myself to some of the more experienced Apes we see imparting their wisdom to those who need it. I met a lot of Apes in that tent, the owners of POTV itself, the manc meet crowd, apes from London.Cambridge and Wales and every one of them welcomed me like a long lost brother.
I have since made the effort to meet up with some of these Apes again and believe me, it is worth the effort. So if you are shy or Lurking or just not sure, take a chance. This place surprised the hell out of me, and now, I wouldn't be without it.
You can check out my previous posts and see what a newb I was, everyone here was a newb once and you will not find any condescension or elitism, only helpful advice and goodwill.
WARNING. There are threads on the forum that are for the more robust of character and if you are easily offended it is probably better to avoid these. I'm not going to ruin the fun by pointing these out, suffice to say if you do not like the content, do not return to that thread. That said you will find me in these threads as they are wonderfully bizarre.
Addendum: Without the clues that body language give us please be respectful until you are confident the recipient will get you.
