Hi folks,

First post, please be gentle...

Background (you can skip this part!)

I was a light pack a week smoker plus rollies, and a social/smoke other peoples (SOP) smoker. I would smoke a whole pack a day when stressed or out for a night.

In terms of smokes, I enjoy Cafe Creme (with a coffee), Malbora Lights, Galouise Blue (when I can get a pack) and Drum Gold for rollies. I would say, I like and enjoy tobacco, but the risks are of course too high in the long term (particularly as a mild ashmatic) alongside the spiralling cost.

Originally tried a CE4 type kit on recommendation from relatives. Was not impressed, leaked and did not know you have to replace the clearomiser! Liquid was the old B&M. Suffice to say I wasn’t that impressed.

After some research, and the price of cancer sticks these days, I plonked for a Tilt B 50W from Jac Vapour. I was attracted by the 12 month warranty! Suffice, to say I now know I could of perhaps got a mod a bit cheaper. That being said, it seems a really good device, though the battery in mine appears to sit a bit loose?

The tank provided with the Tilt was a S-22. While well made and durable, I have experienced constant spitting and gurgling; it simply just does not seem to vapourise the eliquid properly at any manner of wattages. When it does, it is fine, sadly this has been all to infrequent.

On research, I picked up a nautlius mini at 15 quid, and it has proven efficient and lovely.

My biggest issue at present is finding good value, tasteful eliquid. I have tried from the local and also picked up some stuff like heisenberg from Vampire Vapes, but they have not been for me. I have really enoyed Dinner Lady Lemon Tart, but it seems to kill coils way too quickly? In all my ADV sadly remains 88 vape blueberry at present.

I’m currently vaping 2-6 ml a day at 11 mg, though I think I may move down to 6 mg.

The important bit….questions….

1. What are some recommended good value light or rich sweet tobacco eliquids for ADV? Are for instance Hangsen RY4 or Mist RY04 tasty enough? (Manabush is already on my to try list, but I can see consuming it adding up).

2. In terms of tanks, is it worth picking up a kabuki clone at this point, for instance? Is there any MTL tanks you would recommend I invest in?

3. How do I get the best life out of coils, specifically the nautilus coils?

4. Where is the best value place to pick up replacement coils?

5. Is it worth investing in learning to build my own coils at this point? If so, what is the best value way to get up to speed and what tank is best to invest in?

6. What are the best ways to keep vaping hardware and juices tidy and organised?

First of all a very big welcome to the site. There are many more experienced and knowledgeable Apes on here that can answer the other questions you have asked but if your are tobacco flavour vaper like myself can I suggest you look on Bestcigliquid's website for tobacco flavours. [emoji4]

Manabush, Manabush, Manabush

Nautilus 2

keep the power around 8-12w for longest life

Be happy.

Welcome to POTV, wish I found this place as early on as you! In terms of number five my answer would depend on if you think you are going to be using vaping as an alternative to smoking or to quit out right. As for two all I can really recommend personally is Aspire can't ever recall using a bad product from them and it always seems to be good value. There are some decent options of the non tank variety for MTL though maybe look into something like the JULL, probably not what you're after but it's an option.

Sorry if you made it clear either way but I did indeed skip to "the important part"

Thanks for the replies!

@gavin 1 any offhand recommendations from Bestecig? Is there anything like druids brew bread of heaven (picked up yesterday with the 25% discount, and it is fantastic!)?

@simong Manabush is on my list ;) Nautilus 2 better than Nautilus Mini?\\

@speedfreek67 Thank you!

@HelloHigh More a safer alternative - like the habit if truth be told .... (not supposed to say that am I??)

Hi and welcome.
Please that your happy with your set up.
Ii were you I would invest in another mod, just in case anything happens to yours its always best to have a back up. You can keep all your vape gear anyway you like. On a shelf , in an old sweet/biscuit Tin. A hand made wooden box. A old ice cream tub. Or in a tool box. I keep most of my bits in a small tool box. My juice I keep in an old sweet tin. Both are kept out of sight of the kids.
RY4 RY5 and RY6 are all very good but the are not fantastic. On the plus side shop around and you can pick them up cheap.
Good luck , enjoy the planet and enjoy your vapeing

I would certainly suggest the Aspire Cleito tank.. Coils last a good long time and it also has an RBA option for around £10 (3 coils worth)

My coils used to last for upto 4 weeks @ 52w on an Aspire NX75, smoking a DIY cola..

The RBA will allow you to experiment with coil builds for not alot of money too.. I also have a Cleito 120 ( slightly bigger brother ) which I also can't fault, but some have said the coils don't last so long.. On the other hand, the RBA for that (also around £12) is a touch larger than the standard Cleito, making it less 'fiddly'..

I smoke a great big TFV12 and V8, both coils and RBA types, but still love my Cleito 120 RBA and also carry my old Cleito for occasional use.. Good strong tanks with decent reputations..

Coil life depends on both wattage and how sweet your flavours are..
My hubby liked DL Lemon tart but found coil life was reduced.. Now smoking own DIY liquids on RBA's and only rewicking once a week, recoil once every 2-3 months..

Can't help with baccy flavours tho.. Left that taste behind me with fags... urgh.. ;)

Luv Chrisie xx

You will benefit from learning to make your own coils, your best bet (as somebody using a Nautilus) is probably one of the Kayfun clones, either a Kayfun 5 or (for a tighter draw) a Kayfun Mini V3. SXK do very good quality clones and they can be got from Fasttech in China, or I'm sure someone can recommend some in the UK. I started building because I only really vape sweet tobacco flavours and they do tend to be coil killers.

Due to the TPD everything seems to be in a state of flux at the moment, but my regular vapes are Manabush, Aerovape Tuscano (also Outlaw and I love their coffee flavours), Bestcigliquid, House of Liquid, the RY4 from Onepoundeliquid and I also mix some of my own, RYWhore is a dependable concentrate.
