Afternoon all,

So I'm fairly new to vaping and would like some advice on a good kit to get.

I have used a Smok Alien (dont judge me ) on and off for a couple of years but due to the fire button now being fubar I'm looking at replacing the whole thing, as no amount of stripping it down is fixing it.

I've been using 70vg 3mg liquids which seem to be ok, and vape dtl and have been vaping at around 40w as I do enjoy a decent cloud. I have no idea about the intricacies of the whole vaping scene so happy to stay on wattage for now, but would like something with the option to be more advanced should I get that far into it.

I've had a look through the forum but theres a lot of info there, so I would really just like some advice on a good all round kit but also reliable. Seen some good comments on Geekvape and innokin and some mixed views on Voopoo, but should I get it as all in one kit or buy the box mod separately to a better tank if there are better available.

I have around a £50 limit to spend but dont want to get something that will let me down in a few months as really want to pack up the ciggies. Size is not an issue and aesthetics are not massively important as long as it has a good battery life and reliable, also looking at seperate battery type rather than built in.

Your expert advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Hi @Sarky Marky 81 and welcome to the planet.

from me i would say the vaporesso gen or the voopoo x217

gen 220w two 18650 and very light mod for its size.

217 220w which takes either two 18650 or two 21700. only issue i have is a slight rattle with the batteries which isnt a biggy really as mod works perfectly.

ive still got two aliens on the go after almost 3 years and both almost painless but still working. when one does give up ill be getting another gen.

if your after a kit which includes tank then maybe best to buy from china who ship full size tanks instead of the poxxy tpd 2ml.

you can find all our recommended uk and china hardware suppliers on post 5 here POTV Vendors & Recommended E Liquid Suppliers

Hi @Sarky Marky 81 and welcome.
You'll get plenty of advice on kit but it would be worth exploring why you're still smoking after two years of vaping.
It might be something wrong or unsuitable with your vaping set up or is it choice?

Hi @MrDJ thanks for the info, I'll certainly take a look at the two you recommend and appreciate the heads up on the China supply.

@StrawberryRipple, if I'm honest I was having issues with the Smok unit not firing all the time and ended up back on the smokes intermittently then it packed up completely so was back full time smoking.

freemax mesh pro on both which are my fave tanks for flavour out of 45 tanks i own.

Hey mate like others have said get the vaporesso gen. Decent for your needs

They are 32 quid on e cig one with free delivery. You can get a couple molicel p26a batteries on discount from fogstar

I have 2 vaporesso tanks that you can have for free. You will just need to purchase some coils for them. Appre tky decent tanks although I've not used them

@Badayuni just been having a hunt round as the Vaporesso seems the best option from what's been suggested so thanks for the pricing info.
Thank you so much for the offer of the tanks but I couldn't take them off you for nothing!!! I'm happy to take them off your hands if you don't need them, but please let me give you something for them at least?

Also if you're after a better tank and one that's highly recommended for flavour and clouds i have a mesh pro for sale. It includes the bubble glass and fat boy glass and 2 single mesh coils. I am also including a free geek vape cerebus tank that has one unused coiled install

The link is here

@Badayuni I appreciate that mate, I'll take them off your hands then.

The link didn't work for some reason, what are you asking for the mesh pro??
