Hi all, complete newbie alert.....

Been on the e-cigs for a week and not really missing the roll-ups at all but need some advice.
I'm on e-lites at the moment, simply because I can get them at my local paper shop. I now realise I should have done some research before I started as e-lites are limited to say the least and damn expensive! Actually it's costing me more than smoking.
So I need advice on what to get.
I'm thinking VE Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit or Joyetech eGo-C kit, opinions please.
Or perhaps there's a better way to go?

I'm not up to speed on terminology etc. yet but I assume with the kits you just add juice?
Also I believe I should get some atomizers as it's easier to test your juice is that correct?
Also are there any vaper shops in/near Norwich does anyone know?

Thanks.

Mark is in Norwich!!

:hello: and :welcome1: to the forum!

Either of those kits are great and are compatible with other things. Grab some 306 dripping atomisers (need a special 306 drip tip) as well for juice testing.

Mate, I really wished someone pointed me to this youtube channel before I purchased my first bit of kit. It'll answer all your noob questions lol. Personally I wish I'd bought and ego twist or a spinner (really cheap but good). But of course, it's all personal choice.

WElcome to POTV

Those kits you are thinking of are fine ...

Egos are always good starting point

Hello & welcome to the Planet

Both those kits should serve you well and as Kulrmestoopid suggested a coup,e of 306`s will be a good move :)..

Hello and welcome MalUK yesRiva is a good kit and with an ego you have loads of options, glad you made the switch and once you step up to the next stage on the ego the flavours out there are excellent and it's going to be a hell of a ride, enjoy

Hi and welcome MalUK the world of flavour outside of e-lites is hermazing, not to disparage people who like it enough to stick to it, but yes, the options out there are numerous, and oft times cheaper, for what I would say, better times.
Riva kits, ego c kits, spinners, anything with an ego/510 compatible thread is the go to, as that means you have a near infinite variety of beasties you can shove on top of your battery, the batteries that you mentioned have these, most do, just something to look out for, anyway, best of luck, and hope you enjoy it here.

Thanks for the replies.
I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.
I can seriously see this being more addictive than smoking........
So If I get the Riva kit, some 306 drip tips and 306 atomizers for testing purposes I'm good to go?
How many atomizers and drip tips should I get? Being new I'll be testing a lot of different juices.
Also do you just clean the drip tips when you test a different juice?

306 attys are quite pricey, I'd get at the most two, one bridgeless, and maybe a 510 atty too, as people can find 306 attys a bit too full on, in fact, just get one 306 and one 510, you just need a regular drip tip for the 510, but you need to check that the drip tip for a 306 states that it is for a 306, you only really need the one drip tip for the 306s, and just shove it on whatever 306 you are using...really, one 306, one 510, and you'd be good to go, and then see how you feel from there.

With these attys, you can chop and change flavours at will, and if they become a bit manky, or you use say a strong taste like a menthol that sticks around, give them a vodka bath, cleans them out okay. They do not last forever though.
