Ah cool , the Mrs is from Clifton.

I'm from Bestwood Park, I manage a shop in Notts. (Hence the curiousity)

Like everyone else has said buddy, don't go rushing into new kit.

A week off the cigs is great, but no offence to yourself you're not out the "danger zone" yet, stick at it. The Pockex is a solid bit of kit, I'd not recommended moving onto beefier devices yet as a Pockex is a great bit of kit. Stick at it awhile, enjoy saving a couple of quid before diving into shinyitus as it's known.

I'm definitely going to take this advice, both from you and everyone else. As I mentioned above I'm a bit of a gadget freak, so when I saw all of the shiny stuff in the shop my eyes lit up! As you and everyone else said - baby steps first!

Which shop do you manage? It'd be good to know a local one I can pop into.

We aren't local as such, we are in Mapperley.

I manage @STEAM Tea - Nottingham and @Chris K another member here helps out.

Aswell as one of the Boss' being a member here too.

It's always nice to meet members of POTV.

If you're a gadget / tinkerer, my next bit of advice to you would be looking at rebuildables then! (As in, practice and look into it. Not rush out and buy one)

I started building about 4-5 weeks in for the fact I wanted to tinker.

Honestly if I were you and if @Huggett and @Chris K ‘s workplace is at all close pop and see them. They’ve got hardware you can have a look at and no doubt their customers will too. That way you’ll get a feel for what’s about without making a costly mistake.
They’re both good dudes and they’ll see you right.

Although SirLuggs right, we aren't "sales" people. We don't go after "hard sales" and we like to chat, so if at any point you wish to pop in.
