What's new

New vendor wanting to say hello!

@MrDJ We're thinking that long term the number of 0mg users is only going to increase so who knows it may be an opportunity for us to focus on being a nicotine-free producer if the nicotine shot stuff becomes too cumbersome. Personally I'd like to see the EU or UK gov revise their regulations on the matter, but that seems fairly unlikely so we have to look forward.

It's a big discussion to have, perhaps not appropriate for this thread, but we feel looking forward (projecting over the next decade or so) that the numbers of people vaping with nicotine will dwindle.

It's a part of the industry that we feel gets overlooked (and something that can be perceived as both good and bad), but a lot of people that vape these days have never smoked a cigarette in their life. So when you look back and think of your effect on peoples lives, do we really want to be the company that promotes an addictive substance or the company that promotes great tastic liquid for a healthier lifestyle? We don't have an answer for that, but it's certainly an interesting discussion. Is it obvious how super tired I am right now, because I do believe I'm rambling?! xD

@KetracelWhite We don't do 12mg or 18mg I'm afraid but we can advise if people want to mix that in themselves. We should add that to the site! Shipping is just a flat £2.95 across the board. We actually lose money on shipping on every order, but we felt charging above £3 for what could be a £10 order wouldn't be too palatable. That said, we hoped the cost of the liquid itself would offset any reservations people have about the shipping.

@weepapagirlrappers That is a very good point and not something I had thought of. Will look into offering different ratios when we have a bit of breathing space. We're based in Scotland so its gonna be cold here too!

Yeah anything over 70/30 doesn't really go well with stock coils and the 80/20 is really for rda' s or the biggest rta' s. That's especially the case over winter.
So I understand the nic levels as the viscosity doesn't suit mtl.
Look forward to giving it a try.

@KetracelWhite Great advice, will get that added to the FAQ as soon as possible. Edit: should be up.

@eyeball kid That's solid advice. Sometimes we get so caught up in our big stupid drippers and RTAs we forget that not everyone uses the same. Hindsight is 20/20, but we'll definitely bear this in mind for our next website changes. Thanks :)

Yep. We see it all the time. New vapers getting frustrated with burnt coils or no flavour and you find them using 80/20 in a nautilus. I'm yet to find a stock coil tank that can handle 80/20 consistently.
A pre warning may restrict your initial customer base but will pay dividends in unhappy customers and unfair poor reviews.
Companies like dripworx have always made compatibility clear and its payed them back in the long run.

I think the opposite will happen, I think the whole 'never smoked, vaping zero nicotine' is a fashion fad and will pass just as teenagers with beards and snapback caps will, those people will find something better to spend their money on once the novelty has worn off. When the medical people really start to get behind vaping as a serious alternative to smoking, I think there will be a big shift, I think it's happening a little already and I think that's where most new vapers will come from in the future, there's still an awful lot of smokers in this country that will one day wake up and think 'ok, I've had enough' like almost all of us did.

@WaitFor1t88 Just a cleanroom, not going to lie we are super bare bones at the moment. Having worked in a few proper labs I know we have a long way to go. We really don't want to be wanky about what we do, but we also don't really want to get to a point of using a big bottling machine to do everything and just pressing a button. We understand that there is a huge argument to be said about efficiency, consistency, etc. of mechanizing everything - but we really enjoy making liquid and part of our company ethos is doing things by hand.

Now if we could afford a big fancy bottling machine then maybe we'd have a different argument, but we're starting from the bottom and working our way up. And I personally hope that the mission we have gets adhered to at all stages of our development as a company. We started it out wanting to be idealistic because to us its really important to have integrity as a company. Aaand I'm ranting again.

@simong You could be absolutely correct. It's one of those post-work-pint convo's we had numerous times and of course no one really has the foggiest (pun action!) clue about what will actually occur. Interesting point though.
