Newbie modder question

Ive been searching and reading all day. I thought making a mains powered mod would be easy. Amps bugger it all up or should I say lack of them in power supplies :-)

ecigs are all related to ohms law.
The formula for what you want is:

Volts (v)= Amps (I) x Resistance (R)
I=V/R
R=V/I

Normally for ecigs when working out the wattage for the voltage you use:

V squared =R x P
R= V squared/P
P= V squared/R

Thanks Tots88. The bugger is I can't get a decent amp discharge limit from these mains powered power packs. The all seem to be really low amps and not powerful enough for Vaping. I'll stick with my 30a batteries I think.

Seedy A decent source of mains powered higher amp outputs would be the old CB Power Supplies,I have a 5-7 amp supply in the cupboard(unfortunately expired)that gave me the idea.I'll remember one of these days to ask my old CB buddies if they have any of their old gear left.

Big old units. I'm digging the idea but still want more ampage. You never know when you'll need an extra amp or 2! .:-)

From my fecked up brain cell,I seem to recall that CB supplies could be bought cheaply that were up to 12 amp units,and then they got a little more expensive as the 20-25 amp supply I was eyeing up to power my gear was around the £50 mark(in the 70-80's)

EBay time I think. A nice 25a supply would do me nicely! :-)
