What's new

Raguri Rant - Sub Ohming and Newbies.

If I lost all my vape gear except an ego and a ce5 or other clearo ...I'd probably just kick vaping .can't go back there .....

I think a few of you have missed the point.
I'm not bitching and moaning about the products directly.
I'm bitching and moaning that they're so readily available to new vapers who have no knowledge of them.
I know all started somewhere, hell I can list every single device I've used since starting, BUT, we all did our research, and most of us know the dangers of sub ohming.
These products mean people who are new to vaping, with next to no knowledge of battery safety can just buy them and fill them, and make stuff go bang.

I think personally its that people in general (not all cases) have no real "progression"....

Only a year/18 months ago the choices were limited....so you start of with a ce4, then progress onto an iclear maybe or similar, then a kayfun like atty.....its the same as a mod....ego/mvp2/mech/dna.....

Now the choices and prices are such that you can pick up a device and set up for very little money now and get instant clouds/sub ohm.....

I mean, how much was a stig dna20 when they first came out?

I've still got my CE4 :P

But i do agree with the majority of points, some people new to vaping will research. Others will just go oooh tank, ooh battery on ya go

Well when I went into the shop and was given an ego CE5 to try then the cronus and a look a like I clear 30, then the aspire cf mod with the Atlantis obviously I was going to try that ,so I sub ohm'd from day one as it gave me my desired effect, but I was given everything correctly even down to the charger but I didn't have a clue why I needed that certain battery or why it was good to have a mech with the safety like short circuit protection ,over discharge etc , so then I went home and did research research research so I knew what I should be doing ,I was lucky that I had a shop that made sure the correct items were sold as in my opinion that's the biggest problem of course new vapours are going to want the best they can get ,but shops or online providers should always give the right information ,I know shops that will quite happily sell you a 100 watt box mod and a sub tank and not even bother telling you that you need the correct battery or let you buy a battery that says 35A when it really runs at 20A ,I don't disagree with sub ohm tanks being sold and I think its good that everyone gets choice ,I just think there should be tighter guide lines that if they are sold the correct information is given, ,atleast on some online venders ( the decent ones ) they do tell you to use the correct battery and use the ohms law :)

Raguri I am largely with you on this one... anyone who is old enough should have the same freedom of choice/rights to do whatever they want... safety wise though I think responsibility and knowing what you are doing and if safe or not should be part of that... and the seller should take some responsibility for making sure facts are known... I don't agree with a ban... but any choice should be at least an informed one...

end of the day sub ohm vaping is no different to a million other products anyone can buy out there. to use them requires a modicum of common sense, pure and simple...

choice is what sets humans apart. just look at smoking.. 20 years ago did we have warnings on packets telling us how bad smoking was, and all the diseases and what not smoking causes. the information was out there but the human choice was to research it on just buy your smokes and go. heck even adverts used to glamorize smoking yet you made the choice to go and buy a pack of fags and light up. and even now with all the warnings and dangers, you still make that choice knowing ( or being ignorant of ) the risks.

just as simply i could walk into a hardware store and by a sander or a drill or some other electrical tool, go home and if i dont bother reading instructions end up taking my eye out ( because i didnt read the use safety googles ) or slice off a finger simply becasue i didnt heed the warnings or seek advice on how to use the product.

if i had the mone i could walk in and buy a high powered super car.. common sense will tell me this is a very fast and potentially lethal vehicle.
stupidy will tell you , hey ive driven my old banger mini around for 6 months so its just another car. and 30 seconds later im wrapped around a lamp post with my brains smeared all over the windscreen.

dont blame the tools blame the user people will either learn how to use a product correctly or they wont be it an ego, a sub ohm device, a supercar or a dremel there is and always will be idiots who think they know better but just because of a few the majority shouldnt suffer for it.
thats freedom of choice.

forgot to add as its a perfect example of vaping... DIY juice making.. in the same vein no one seems worried that people are making and mixing there own juices. ( many beginners to vaping ive seen want to go straight down that route ) yet again its freedom of choice but you are dealing with a highly toxic substance ( nicotine ) and in the same way as sub ohming if you dont know what your doing you could just as easily end up killing yourself or someone else. again its common sense and education something that not everyone has
