Hi guys,

This is my first post on the forum, apologies if this has been asked before.

I'm relatively new to vaping, I started a few months ago. I bought a starter kit to try out, then moved to a bigger kit, I then bought the same one again so I have 2 now.

I'm sure I'm not alone, so many times my USB leads stop charging, bend and break. Today I thought, I wonder if there are any USB C kits available. I managed to find 1 that is priced decently, the other was over £200.

As i have always bought kits, I have never really learnt much about the kits, their specifications etc.

I have 2x Thorvap 100w kits, can be seen here: Amazon product ASIN B076P8N9H6
I am looking at buying an eleaf nowos as it has USB C and I think it looks quite cool, this can be found here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0...tick+NOWOS&dpPl=1&dpID=41WNq+5h7FL&ref=plSrch

My questions are as follows:

1/. Will the tanks on my Thorvaps fit and work on the Eleaf?

2/. Has anybody used or know much about the Eleaf or any other Eleaf kits? I would be grateful for opinions on either.

Finally, I would like to apologise to all vapers, I used to think it was a fad, stupid, ridiculous and everything else I can now say "we hear". I must say I've been smoke free for months now. I got my first kit and thought about trying it out "in a few days, I'll finish my tobacco pouch first, the girl in the shop showed me how to use the kit and got me to test the kit and try the juice they sold me. I didn't have another cigarette, didn't finish my tobacco pouch, never been tempted to have a real cigarette. Now I know what I know, I'm shocked there are so few who have given vaping a try to quit smoking! I started on 18mg strength nicotine and now down to somewhere between 6 - 9mg.

Thank you in advance for any tips and advice.

Dan

Hi @Daniel Quine and welcome.
Yes your tanks will work on the eleaf.
Any micro usb cable will charge your existing mods so dont give up on them.

Thank you, have you heard about the Eleaf brand? I wont completely give up completely, I drive for a living and want something a little more reliable, nothing worse than being out and running out of battery on both Thorvaps and my USB lead busting

I have an Eleaf iJust ECM kit. The tank that came with it gives great flavor. But I use the .15 ohm coil with it. The .5 coil was like sucking air. Haven't had any issues with Eleaf at all.
Actually think Eleaf and Joytech are combined. If so my first good device was a joytech ego one, still have it actually, just can't find coils for it anymore....

Most mods will allow you to vape them while charging.
I used to vape mine while driving and plugged into the cig lighter charge port.
Eleaf/Wismec/Joyetech all the same company and tbh the eleaf stuff is probably the most reliable of the bunch.
Well done giving up btw.

Hi and welcome. Is there a particular reason you want usb charging only? The advantages of external batteries are not to be sniffed at.

Hi Daniel, my Eleaf Pico mods are amongst my favourite mods, they've lasted a couple of years and never let me down. Eleaf are a good company IMHO.

Might be worth thinking about external battery mods though, as has been said. You do need to buy a separate charger, but I find it a lot easier to just swop out batteries when I need them and charge the spares when convenient.

Hi Dan. Welcome to the forums. I'm not sure what leads you're looking at but surely (like mobile phones) you can just get a universal lead? Better yet, you can get a plug so you can charge straight from the mains.

I started vaping roughly two years ago. Maybe more (my mind has been a bit blurry since I got married). I've had countless mofs - both with integrated and external batteries. ATM I'm using an eleaf invoke as my daily (work and out and about) mod. It's one of the smallest dual battery mods out there and eleaf have a good reputation. As another posted pointed out - the Pico is a great mod. I never got one personally as it wasn't a good fit for me but I've friends who have them.

I'd mirror the response above - do you really need a mod with integrated batteries? My advice would be to look at something with external batteries. This is something you would probably progress to anyway. The mods I bought before moving onto a mod with external batteries are still sitting on the shelves :)

Best of luck

Hello Daniel Quine, like others have said already. You're much better using a mod with replaceable batteries and an external charger, as you can always carry spare batteries in a case.

Also, good tip here. Get your mods and tanks from places such as fasttech, prices are so much better and can also get larger capacity tanks and clone rebuildable tanks if you decide to go down that route in the future.

But glad you've managed to make the transition, you've done well.

Welcome mate.

External batteries are great but if you really want an internal battery I'd recommend the eleaf power 80w. It's got a 5000mah battery that lasts for ages. My missus has had one for over 2 years and it's still going strong.
