After seeing a few posts on here praising the virtues of Ni80 wire i finally decided that my days as a kanthal only man had to change, so today a spool of 24awg flattened Ni80 arrived from the crazy wire co. So three RDA's recoiled later and WOW! This stuff rocks in mechs and has given a new lease of life to my Kanger Dripbox, the Hadlay is now coiled with a 0.4 ohm coil and it is just so much warmer and generally nicer than Kanthal ever was. Cheers guys :2thumbsup:

Careful of that killer ramp up time it'll knock your socks off!

Good aint it.:)2

Really? I've been thinking the same for a while (about losing the Kanthal) but I've got a bit set in me ways. So it's not a TC wire, it just runs the same as Kanthal? Actually, there was a bit of a fad for Nichrome a few years back, I might still have some kicking around if it's the same stuff.
I guarantee it's thinner than 24g though!

Next you have to try the flattened SS for me it has the same ramp up but a cleaner taste [emoji5]

Yep, I was exactly the same, been using kanthal for years and always thought if it ain't broke then don't try to fix it, but having recently got back into mechs via squonking, kanthal just wasn't quite hitting the spot in an RDA with a sub ohm set up, Ni80 however seems made for the job, try it, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Well, since I have a Boxer on the FT slowboat, it'd be rude not to. Hopefully, it'll get me using the mech squonkers I have sat on the shelf as punishment for being crap too.

Yep it is good also the warrior wire I got in 24g is also very good
