Nic before or after???

Steeping in my opinion is the nicotine blending with the flavouring so steeping without nic would be pointless, I now steep my concentrates and nic and once steeped add my VG/PG and I'm getting fantastic results doing so [emoji4]
This.
I always steep with the nic in for this exact reason.
But I add the Vg at the same time too then it goes on holiday in the cupboard for a while.

PG? What's that? Sounds awful., [emoji23]

Flavours and nic and vg (and pg or distilled water if you use / require it ) into the bottle , shake vigourously (the bottle not yourself) then into the cupboard and let time do it's magic ..... i do give my mixes a brief shake each day for the first week then wait until ready,

some people shake and vape some fruit mixes, but i always like to leave them for at least a week to blend / maturate / steep or whatever else you might call it. All the best with your mixing.

It can really be a personal taste thing. With some trial and error. In recent months I have tried some mixes steeped then added nic a week before use and the same one mixed and steeped with nic. For my taste some were much crisper flavour wise steeped on their own with the nic added a week before vaping. Others seemed better steeped with the nic. Some steeped with it I didnt like at all. But none steeped alone, adding nic later, I didnt like. For that reason, for me, 1/3 of my mixes get steeped on their own now. The other third with nic. I have actually in the past recent months tipped out a few steeped with nic. Again its all personal preference, but if you did it just 1 way, you may actually miss out on a flavour that tastes way better one way than the other. To say there is 1 way thats best for all mixes for everyone to me aint so. A few small testers aint gonna break the bank. Im so glad I experimented. :57:

Now that's an idea I've never considered before.

Are you finding that method speeds up the steeping time?
I find it speeds up steeping a lot, i vape a lot of custard and by mixing my nic and just concentrates for 7 to 10 days is working out to be like normal steeping 4 to 6 weeks [emoji4]

So is it the case that nic only reacts/blends with concentrates? I ask because with nic shots, the nic is already mixed with pg/vg. Does some form of steeping not happen in the nic shot bottle?

* Not being a dick, genuinely interested.

All nic that we use comes in vg or pg. 72mg, nic shots, all of it.

I mix a 500ml of 12-15mg 50/50 base mix and it sits on top of the kitchen cupboard for a couple of months or however long it takes me to get through it. I’ve never noticed it changing in any way, so i think flavour concentrates + nic is the key.

^^^^^^
This

I made up 5 18mg nic shots to use in short fills and I used them all at different times and not once did they change in any way so steeping is flavouring reacting with nic [emoji4]

I've got some PG nic in a 200ml clear glass bottle thats been out the freezer for about 6 weeks.
It gets very little day light as it stays in the garage but its yellowing.
Ive had pg nic turn pink before.
Does VG nic do the same? I've got some but yet to find out.
Is this relevant to steeping? I've no idea tbh.

I had some vg nic from lucemill, pre trpr, which was very slightly pink and a little bit peppery. It’s fine when it’s mixed in liquid and steeped.

I think 72mg might degrade faster than nic shot strength. Based on mine and @mattyk2010 ’s observations above. But it’s mixing nic and concentrates that really kicks the reaction in, I have no doubt.
