Only posting this up because the idea appears conspicuous by it's absence.
There are no rules when it comes to the nicotine strength of diy mixes. The mg don't have to be 36,24,18,12,6, and zero.
They can be whatever you fancy. Point of the post? Well, just say that you are trying to cut back on your nic, dropping by one or two mg's at each 'stage' may be more painless than a big leap of 6mg less, especially if you are self confessed nicotine addict. For those planning to take this road, of, potentially, quitting altogether, or just wishing to decrease your dependency, very gradual reductions in nicotine may help stop the "dropped the nic but vaping more" scenario.

cheersm8 yes this is a helpful idea for anyone wanting to gradually drop nic... probably easier for those who make larger batches of liquid as otherwise you need to work with very small changes in amounts of nicotine and base liquids and most syringes won't have the smaller graduations necessary for the precision measuring required. .. whereas for larger batches should be possible to get the calculations more exact as you can measure in .1ml instead of .01ml much more easily. ..

You can also do it with liquid that is purchased commercially by mixing different nic levels together.

If you take a bottle of 18mg and add a bottle of 12mg of the same flavour you will end up with two bottles of 15mg. Take 2 bottles of 12mg and 1 bottle of 6mg and you get 3 bottles of 10mg. With some basic maths and a bit of nouse you can turn out a bottle of what ever you require.

This is how I have cut from starting on 18mg 4 months ago to being on 10mg now, it works :)

It went better than expected and I now have a couple of hundred ml of 13.5mg that I can't really use now though lol, I'll have to buy some more of that concentrate and dilute it some more :)

Since I started mixing I've come down from 18mg to 3mg in tiny stages. It's not been any sort of hardship either. I genuinly haven't noticed the drops because they've all been 1mg at a time.

I have done the same. Started at 18mg and dropped gradually to 6mg. Mixed my last batch at 3.6mg (1ml nic in 20ml bottle) and all good so far

Just to give this some balance I'm not trying to drop my nic :D

I am pretty happy vaping anything from 6-15mg on my drippers. I don't seem to get a nic headache as reported by others. I have no intention of cutting down on my caffeine or alcohol consumption either. I am happy that all are within reasonable limits and not doing me undue harm when compared with the satisfaction I get from imbibing in them :woot:

I am a 36mg vaping gal.. I have no intention of dropping at present but will as and when.. but is positive for those who wish to do so
