Hi, this thread is more for my reassurance if anything, I'm sure it's fine but there's some intelligent people here id like to double check with. I bought 1L of 72mg nicotine from darkstar, it has been in a cool dark place since I got it all in all its been there 1 week and 1/2 but I have bottled and put in the fridge today. I know nicotine can go pink but I didn't realise how little time it takes to go that way, the nicotine I used to use changed colour just not pink. I haven't actually used any of it yet and I have heard good things about the company so I'm sure it's fine, but I thought it would have took longer to go pink than it has done. Is this normal? I'm pretty sure the nicotine I used before took longer before changing colour. I just want to add that it is only slightly pink, will this affect the long term storage?, it will be in the fridge at all times now until i use a bottle and put it back after, i wanted to do this the second i got the nicotine but had to wait for my order of some glass bottles with a phenolic cap to make it airtight as possible, Thankyou in advance

I think that's pretty normal, most of my NIC is that colour
Thankyou, like I said I expect nic to go pink, I just thought it would take longer to go that colour. Have you used darkstar before? I've yet to finish my nic from vampire vape so I haven't used any of it yet

How long are you hoping to store the nicotine? I have read that nic' in the fridge doesn't have any longer a shelf life than in a cool dark place. Storing in the freezer is necessary to prolong its life beyond a year or so.

I would freeze it but it's not my house and we don't have a big freezer, but I must say that the fridge it is in make it extremely cold just not frozen, the cooler it can be should be the better as being cold slows down chemical reactions. I'm hoping to store it for at least 12 months. I had my old nic stored just in a cool dark cupboard and 3-4 month later it is still fine, and it's at least 5 times cooler in the fridge than it ever was in the cupboard. I would much rather freeze it but I can't so I'll just have to hope for the best. It's in extremely air tight bottles and filled almost to the lid so I'm hoping it should last. Thankyou for your input I think when I start using this nic I will document how long it takes to change in quality/taste.
