Hi,

Which type of nicotine base does everyone use here for mixing, do you guys go for PG or VG? I have been buying VG so far but now I am interested to know if there is much difference or which is better?

Thanks

Hi mate I've used both in the past but stick to pg these days purely becouse I prefer a 70 vg 30 pg ratio so nic n flavouring in a pg will add to 30% for me. Won't make a massive difference to flavour tho apart from vg being a bit more sweet n smooth then pg.. all depends on what u prefer tbo...

but the pg would give you more of a slight throat hit then no? and if you use vg based nicotine then its a lot smoother, is that what your saying?

Also while we are on the subject, where is everyone getting their nicotine from? Where's the cheapest? :)

I use pg based nic, purely because it's easier to handle, I find the vg nic a bit on the thick side with 1ml syringes.

the thickness doesn't bother me as I use a 1ml syringe for nicotine which I keep separate from all the other syringes so theres no risk of contamination. I find that with 1ml syringe vg liquid is easy to use with. I have another 1ml syringe which I use with the vg liquid itself and its fine with that. I've found vg based liquids are only a problem when using bigger size syringes to suck large amounts.

But other than thickness and handling issues, is there any other reason to go for PG? does it help bring flavour out more?

Also who's doing the cheapest nicotine just now?

PG will give you a better throat hit as you said, whilst VG will be a bit smoother, so it is better for high VG liquids, and lung inhales.

PG nicotine will help ever so slightly with carrying flavorings, but nothing that noticeable. I like high VG juices, so I stick with VG nicotine.

I believe I've seen that PG lasts a little longer, and doesn't smell as bad? not something that really bothers me, as I can't smell it when it's mixed lol. There's no major differences between the two, other then the throat hit tbh bud, and your mixing ratios.

Some people have a reaction to PG, whilst others have a reaction the PG.

I grab mine from Vapable =£11.99 for 100ml. Cheapest reputable vendor.

I don't like too much pg but need a bit for flavour, nic and the flavour concentrates make up most of the pg content of my juices.

My last nic purchase was from Darkstar, about 18.50 including postage for 250ml, 500ml is about £30 with postage. The nic looks and smells ok, not vaped any of it as it went straight in the freezer.

are you meant to store it in a freezer? lol or is that just your own thing that you do? I keep all my concentrates, nic, vg and pg in a large black box with a lid on it. Which is kept in a room temperature.

thanks!

I guess ill stick with the VG base nicotine as I make 70/30 mostly and sometimes 50/50.

Yeah I always get my stuff from vapable they are good but price wise I managed to find was Vape Inc who are doing it for 9.99 but if you use the code then its like 8.49, I think something around there. but unfortunately they are out of stock. Will give em a ring tomorrow, if its going to be a while then ill go with vapable as I need to order some more custard from there anyway.

Vape Inc are the cheapest on the market atm, I've just not heard enough about them, actually the first thing I heard about them was sending out the wrong nicotine strength lol.

With regards to your previous message, freezing nicotine is absolutely fine, and a lot of people do it. Especially with the regulations that are going to be put in place next year, people will have to buy a big ass life time bulk, and freeze them!
