Now, I'll say this to begin with. This is my first review of a device, and to be doing my first review on something hand crafted.. It's quite a big step really. Obviously, these are all my opinions, and Mr Noisy has not asked me to do this, and infact, does not even know I am doing this! So... Here goes.
After my original Vamo died, and the Gripper I had off Andy a while ago went into melt down I was modless, Noisy had offered to try and craft me something if I sent my Vamo off to him as I'd been after something of his since I first saw one. Another member of the forum however, came up trumps and sent me a mechanical Odyssey and a Smok SID which I have loved ever since, and have even treated them to a clean every couple of days. However, I still had that "I wonder what a homemade mod would be like" thought in the back of my head.
So, I emailed him and got chatting away. I sent the Vamo off to him, and he said that he could either box mod it, make it back to a normal vamo, mechanicalise the vamo, or send me off a SS one. I'm not one to make other people work, so I chose the easier option of a pre-built. And it arrived this morning.
I will admit, this is a thing of beauty. And would also double up very VERY well as a weapon incase I ever get corned since it has some serious weight to it with an 18650 inside.
Excuse the Nova, the protank was being coiled for a lower ohm.
Now then, what do I think other than it's gorgeous? The button itself, is very strange. It wobbles about like a happy jellyfish on acid. But I like it. It reminds me that this is not a mass produced item which anyone can find in their local vape store, but something unique. Using it is a pleasure, as the button is almost like a two stage trigger. One small push in, then you feel something 'click' and boom, you're vaping away. The hit on the protank is something I cannot recreate on either the 14500 mechanical, or the SID (When at 1.3 ohm)... It's strange. For such a 'cool' tank, it's seriously warm (I will admit, it is coiled to 1ohm... But even then, wow)
I will admit, it's not a flush top. So, sorry for all you "Kill the gap" types out there, but I guess it could very easily be taken down a bit on the connector. But personally, I don't mind it at all!
So. That's that I guess. And again, one massive thank you to the man who crafted this!
