Morning All,

first and foremost I'd like to say I know I'm asking questions asked before. I've read many useful threads and reviews on here but really I want to discuss it in one place.

I've decided I definately want more out of my vaping experience. I want to take the plunge and go for a high end mod or VV/VW system. The choice and variety is huge. I know many of you have experience with different units over time.

Basically my question is this:

Which top end system to go for. Obviously I don't mind spending a bit of cash, but don't want to spend £200 when I can spend £100 and get the same performance or better. For those of you who have played with loads which system would you recommend? I think I want VV/VW but i'm also liking the look of some of the more "mechanical" one like the segelei ones and the like. For those of you who own loads which do you find yourself using the most? If you have to only own one of them which would it be?

Tank wise I'm currently running wick based vivi novas, I like the look of the bottom coil tanks, which ones are the cream of the crop? If You had to narrow it down to 2 or 3 to consider which would they be? I like the solid looking nature of the protanks, but have seen others that claim to be superior. Again from all the tanks you've owned or used which do you find yourself turning to the most?

Now the unit itself, i've looked at all the usual suspects, A friend swears by his lavatube, the innokin stuff, segelei etc but I want to make sure i'm picking the right unit, and don't mind spending the £ if need be. What are the "top 3" in your opinion and in the opinion of the forums as a whole?

I'm not saying I will never buy another one, but I want this one to be "it" for a while. I don't want to spend £whatever and immediately be eyeing other superior units for "next time". I'll keep all my current kit as spares/backup so don't want to spend good money one one then immediately be casting admiring glances at others!

What I want -

Decent batter capacity. Perhaps VV/VW but feel free to try and sell me on others, nice preferably metal construction.

Sorry for all the questions, but reading 100s of individual reviews has, if anything, left me more unsure, i've yet to really read a bad review of a middle to high end mod kit. So I guess what i'm after is the actual real-life experience of those using them as everyday units like I will be. Did you recently buy a mod kit? Is it perfect or have you found flaws? What is the one you want "next" and why is it better/different than your current setup?

I know i'm over thinking what is provably a £75-£150ish purchase but I'm applying the same thinking that I would if I was looking at a new laptop or car, I wouldn't want to be mucking about with it and improving things immediately after purchase.

Sorry for the huge post, and thanks in advance.

The mvp from innokin is a solid performer.

Good battery life? Tick. 3 days for me, 10mls of juice before a recharge. Battery is built in so no batteries to buy.

Metal construction? Tick. It's rock solid.

VV/VW? Tick. It's got the uppy downy volty watty goodness!

Ohms meter? Tick. Check coil resistance to your hearts content.

In budget? Tick. Only 40 quid. Spent the test on lovely juice.

510/ego threading? Tick. Put whatever you want on the top, it'll fit.

Compact. Ummmmm. No, it's not exactly subtle.

Convenient? Tick. It recharges via a micro usb lead.

Available? Tick. It can be sourced right here in the uk from several vendors.

Someone will probably be along shortly to recommend a provari.

Nothing wrong with them as far as I can tell except the price.

Many thanks!

Size is'nt really an issue, in fact i'm expecting/come to terms with the fsct i'll probably end up wth a monster.

My current tornado-c battery and viv nova bits will do if i'm ever in a position where I need smaller stuff.

£40 isn't bad at all, I suppose twinned with a "premium" tank it'd be superb.

Hi mason, you could ask a 100 people and get a 100 different recomendations,

I was in the same situation myself yesterday, then I decided I was going to buy
a mech mod, turned on the laptop, got looking at all the lovely shiny mods but couldn't decide which one I wanted, ended up ordering a Vamo vv/vw )
I know for a fact I will be looking at mech's again but it's better than buying cigarettes ;o)

ps: Vamo arrived this morning, thanks for the quick service myepack.

Vamo's are great for the price tag and will do as all vv/vw do including the provari, the key here is what shape and form you prefer really.
top three on the mech side for me is>

1) Paps
2) Paps
3) Paps

:D

I rather fancy a paps Lux :) I have an atmizoo roller with a Kayfun lite on which is my fave with total cost of around 180. A close(ish) 2nd however is a sigelie 19 with a Russian clone on top - total cost of around 60! So you don't 'have' to spend a fortune....
I also have a zmax and an evic that sit around doing nowt unless I want to check a coil.
If you get good quality genuine kit, you won't lose much if you change your mind and sell it....
I have mods because I like the look & feel of them, Tanks also because I like the look of them but Mainly because they Work! I can get a cracking vape with my KFL on an ego.....! The best mod in the world will be cap with something like a ce4 on it, you pays ya money.......

paps 2.5 is my favourite mod ever! still has the best bottom firing button :)

If you want to get a decent mod then the VTR is better than the MVP. It's bigger and heavier though and if you're looking for an out and about device it might not be a VTR. It takes batteries rather than have an internal fixed battery and the uppy downy controls are much better than on the MVP. (Twisty jog dial vs pushy buttons)

If you did want a VV tube device then the ProVari is old and dated imo. It works well but to be honest the newer mods with DNA chips in them are lots better. The Wizards Apprentice might well be my favourite of those, (I'd love the Wizard, just cos it's made of Titanium, but can't afford the pricetag)

If you'd prefer a mech mod then get a Paps. The switch on them is second to none and they're very well put together.
