It would certainly be a lot more expensive if gear was made here, as opposed to China and the rest of Asia.

We'd certainly lose the very bottom end stuff, which may or may not be a bad thing.

But once production was set up there's no reason we couldn't make a reasonable mod for the 40-60 quid mark, and still have plenty of room for stuff a bit more special.

I'm sure there are plenty of vapers who can pay those prices, but I am on a very tight budget and for me, unless I can pick up something second hand, that would count me out. Each to his own and all that, but I tend to buy mainly from Chinese firms.

Scaremongering, China makes billions from the industry and they aren't stupid. Most likely they've had complaints within their country and 'need to be seen as doing something' about it without actually intending to.
