The quality or style of the ad is largely irrelevant.

The meat of the hysteria is that something that resembles a tobacco cigarette is being advertised and the antz are fuming because it goes against the quit or die, anything that resembles tobacco smoke is a toxic death cloud, guilt tripping and demonising smokers policy of the last few decades.. in their eyes at least.

I don't remember any ruckus about nicorette quickmist being advertised.

Has it been on the telly yet? If it has, was the chick a fit blonde or fit brunette? If it was a brunette, I'll keep an eye out for it, if it was a blonde, I won't bother.

On a more sensible note, despite vapers feelings and emotions, this has to be looked upon as a positive thing. Tobacco advertising is banned, this is not banned, so? the distinction and distance between tobacco and vaping has been made, albeit in the typical, mindless scriptness of advertising.

on monday night i saw a t.v advert for peters baked beans.
my normal choice of baked beans had been starting to give me terrible wind. the advert for peters beans promised no wind problems due to the way the beans were prepared 'might have to try those' i thought to myself'
on tuesday im walking down the local high street and i notice a new shop, its name is 'beans beans beans'
hmmm i wonder
so i pop into 'beans beans beans' omg they sell so many different types of beans, im not sure i know where to start.
best ask the shop keeper about those peters beans.
the shop keeper is a friendly chap,he listens as i explain about seeing the peters beans add and my wind problem with my normal bean brand.
he explains a bit about all the different beans he sells, he also suggests against the peters beans and suggests pauls beans instead.
he seems to know his stuff so i purchase some of his pauls beans.

he did know his stuff,no more wind for me.
no sale for peter the bean maker but thats life i guess

All genius requires a touch of madness my friend. I have minimal thoughts on the matter discussed really, I really don't think it'll affect that many people. Most who have considered vaping are already or won't be swayed by a tv advert.
